I spent too much time on this.

It's critical that we adapt to a strategy where AI supports our learning instead of the having it the other way around.
article is good, comments are fantastic!
Excellent. Although I suspect the author of the programming language invented this Janet for all the perfect puns. Yes, Janet. No. Janet.
maybe this is the future now, your list of achievement could be anyone's list of achievements. heck even the salespersons at work can do this with AI now. There is no affinity to it. Future will potentially be like this, marked will be overflooded by artificiel software.
Elite Dangerous does it better. Pretty but idk.. get the AI generated feeling.
..and emails
i guess marked is going to be oversaturated with these kinds of tools. can someone who use this tool tell us about it?
primary login method with linkedin? "continue with login, recommended for enterprise professionals"
how disgusting.
Sounds like we need some laws for robotics/ai
I had to read this message twice, gotcha
Seems very vulcan. Works with vulcans and to some extent vulcan wannabees. Words have meaning, and how we express ourselves through our words is how we lead and share knowledge. There is nothing wrong with being honest, but honesty without love and care is brutality.
well, that was awkward. that said, some I didn't love some I absolutely did. Is this fair?
It is an humbling experience the moment when you accept that getting hacked is something that can happen to anyone, including the best of us. No one is too good not to be hacked.
AI is built to be non-deterministic. Variation is built into each response. If it wasn't I would expect AI to have died out years ago.
The pricing and quality on the copilot, codex (which I am experienced in) feels like it is getting worse, but I suspect it may be my expectations are getting higher as the technology is maturing...
Some of their high priced noise cancelling headphones have excellent quality. I purchased the QC-25 ages ago, and when it stopped working I reached out to support, this was beyond their 3y warranty, provided serial number and they sent me a new QC-35 no questions asked replacement unit.
I am very happy with my QC-35 headphones. They are probably 5y+ now and they go with me everywhere. I think it is unfair to state their hw quality is low. It is much better than low.
This is an actual hard problem he is trying to fix. 50-line python? Pfff..! My current personal 400-line rule script begs to differ not to mention the PAIN of continuously maintaining it. I was looking into using AI to solve the same problem but now I can just plug and play.
I want to read each and every halluicinated post. Detectic deep fakes for seniors... Microsoft Office sub for 40$
yes
I wish.
Slippery slope- just matter of time before someone makes a downdetector for the downdetector for downdetector. Ad nauseum.
Excellent write up. Cybersecurity professionals read the story and learn. It’s textbook lesson in post-mortem incident analysis - a mvp for what is expected from us all in a similar situation.
Reputationally this is extremely embarrassing for Cloudflare, but imo they seem to get their feet back on the ground. I was surprised to see not just one, but two apologies to the internet. This just cements how professional and dedicated the Cloudflare team is to ensure stable resilient internet and how embarrassed they must have been.
A reputational hit for sure, but outcome is lessons learned and hopefully stronger resilience.
hey, what a time to be alive
Appreciate it, for me it became this stress inducing xmas calendar. Did it a couple of years and then I stopped because it wasn't fun anymore. Some puzzles were really hard and I took it really personally when I couldn't complete them.
It's a shame. I use this functionality to retrieve and delete messages from other mailboxes on a daily basis in order to use Gmail as my primary email interface.
Excellently written, and a must have back in the days
Shorts and Reels are designed to be incredibly addictive. I really wish there were an option to turn them off, especially on Instagram and Snapchat. What I want is to see my friends' photos — but instead, Shorts and Reels quickly funnel me into an endless discovery feed. It feels toxic, distracting, and completely misaligned with the core purpose of these apps. This functionality isn’t necessary, and I’d much rather have the choice to block it.
You pre-stole my comment, I was about to make the exact same post :-D
Although the blog post is about going faster and him showing alternative algorithms, conclusion remains for safety which makes perfect sense. However, he did show us a few strategies which is useful. The five minutes I spent, will never be returned to me but at least I learned something interesting...
probably because doctors work with humans and computers are not humans.
April first?
Does disclosure of a database schema really jeopardize the security of the system? Yes
How plausible or likely does that jeopardy need to be? Very
Does a database Schemas constitute “source code”? Yes
Is a SQL schema a “file format”? No & yes. In that order.
And, finally, does the “would jeopardize” language apply to everything in the exemption, or just to the nearest noun “any other information”? Yes
