Petroleum Expert gave 10 licenses for the Move software [1] to my University for an advertised value of 1 872 218 £ [2].
It's not clear, but for what I recall, it wasn't even permanent licenses.

Aren't SSH host certificates the answer? Why are they not more widely used?
As I don't need it that often, I prefer the zero-install `curl cht.sh/tar`.
For the search use case, I use Firefox search keywords [1]. It avoids a useless redirection through duckduckgo ; I use duckduckgo bangs when I don't have a keyword configured.
You can even add search keywords by right clicking on a search field -> "Add a keyword for this search". It works on intranets and internal knowledge bases too.

Speaking of Zen and QM, I think a similar point of view is held by the french philosopher Michel Bitbol[0] in his introduction of QM to the Dalaï Lama : Quantum Theory, a theory with no view of the world ?[1].
Michel Bitbol is quite a thought provoking scholar (at least for me). Unfortunately there aren't many of his books translated in English.
This project is about integration with the Gnome desktop. It uses xfreerdp RemoteApp support[1] under the hood (an up to date equivalent of seamlessrdp).
