Love cloud run and this looks like a great addition. Only things I wish from cloud run is being able to run self hosted GitHub runners on it (last time I checked this wasn’t possible as it requires root), also the new worker pool feature seems great in practice but it looks like you have to write the scaler yourself rather than it being built in.

This is exactly the point the article is making.
Those close to the defence secretary acknowledged that his remarks could be read as being aimed at the US. An insider argued that the British minister was emphasising the importance of political will as well as sheer military power.
It now doesn't matter as much how much of GDP you spend on military but also political power as well.
Not from this report, but these quotes are crazy:
"In this country we've had incidents where these UAPs have interfered and actually brought offline our nuclear capabilities" [1]
"We also have data suggesting that in other countries these things have interfered with their nuclear technology and actually turned them on, put them online." [1]
How is stuff like this possible or is it just hyperbole?

Super interesting talk on this at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM7NB1_NtC4
Just out of interest, why avoid Kubernetes?
Not only uncomfortable but it’s also somewhat embarrassing. I’ve always thought GitHub would be a pretty good place to work but judging from those chats I think I would definitely avoid.
Just my opinion from the circles I hang around in, in terms of tech sector - not particularly a huge deal to work for a FAANG company, it’s mostly just like working for any another company.

I went down the same route and wouldn’t change a thing. The difference really is striking.
Just curious, as I’m looking to upgrade the processor that I bought - are AMD processors widely known as being better than Intel?
Not trying to start an argument about which is better, I’m just genuinely curious as I have no idea as I’m not a gamer and have always gone for Intel processors.
Ice cream, as a food that is very close to neutral in pH and without much in the way of preservatives, is a common source of listeria bacteria.
I know very little about food science so apologies in advance but curious as why they don’t add preservatives themselves to the Ice cream and why other pH neutral foods McDonalds do don’t require as much care as the ice cream?

Not a film, but would recommend Attack on Titan
I can get into Berghain finally!
Anyone have any recommendations for decent smart thermometers?
Do you have anymore details?
This is related to their app not their website.
I have a couple of other bank accounts and none of the others seem to be sending data to Facebook.
It just says <number> interactions were received from Monzo.
A bit weird that my Monzo seems to be sending data to Facebook?
Have any more examples?
Wonder why the front-facing camera doesn't have an IR filter but the rear one does.
