Thank you! FOSDEM 2014 in Brussels looks particularly interesting.
This might be a little offtopic, but where can I find a list of tech conferences in Europe for the next month? I'll be in the Netherlands during the first week of february.
HN's monthly "who is hiring" threads have served me well.

Luckily you can fix the buffering behaviour with a browser extension. Look for "SmartVideo for Youtube".

That cursor makes me think that the browser has crashed/hung/is not responding.

This must be why mosh's escape sequence never worked for me (ctrl-^ or ctrl-^.)
I'm getting a blank page on Safari. http://mikemcbrearty.com/climate/search?q=Vitória
Computer craft, which uses Lua for scripting, is by far the most popular. There's a ton of tutorials available for it on YouTube.
Wow. I'm actually impressed by the load speed of that page.
As someone who lives in South America I've gotten used to sites loading in 2+ seconds, but this one feels almost instantaneous.
They actually cost $15 USD/yr. In fact, the price has decreased over the years. [1]
Most people don't speak English in Brazil, or do so very poorly.
I rather prefer talking via text. It's quicker, doesn't ruin my concentration as much, and doesn't bother my coworkers. I'm also always with headphones on so having to take them off to listen to someone is a big hassle.

There's an app called "Irssi ConnectBot" that adds support for scrolling and switching windows with touch gestures.
Do you sponsor H1B visas?
Seems like Hacker News is missing from the "Where did you hear about us?" box.
My work is currently uninteresting, which makes me bored/unmotivated. The salary isn't good either.
Looking into moving to a developed nation.

Agreed. A browser extension/greasemonkey script would be a better option in this case.

I've been trying since 7:00.00001 and still got nothing.
Edit: All tickets sold out. There goes my plans to visit the US!
Or better, a link to the video itself?
It's a shame their site is so slow. It often takes 10+ seconds to open a single MDN page, so sometimes I just click the w3schools link if I don't feel like waiting.
If only they used plain HTTP instead of HTTPS...
How can one "limit branching", and "optimize for the second level memory cache"?
