Consistency is totally killing GNU/Linux on the desktop for me. Ubuntu does a pretty good job at providing an usable desktop experience out of the box, and by that I mean decent UI, decent font rendering, decent defaults. However, it is not seldom that, for example, I have 4 windows open and each one of them has a different type of scrollbar. I know this is not important for many people, however, for myself this is totally killing it. I grab my Mac and I can focus on my work without being annoyed by the environment.

Wow, we should probably rewrite the Linux kernel into this thing, it's blazing fast, and close to the metal too.

No need to be so aggressive, but to answer your question:

     1. Yes, there are probably a lot of areas that need new
        programming languages or improvements of the current  
        programming languages, everything is quite far from 
        "perfect" at the moment (and it will probably always
        be). There's still a huge amount of research going
        in this direction.
     2. Learning. Should you ever be stopped from learning
        something new by the fact that something similar 
        already exists? Probably not. This is just business 
        thinking utter bullshit.
     3. This "resource" was the starting point before few
        quite young popular programming languages. I haven't
        read it myself but it must be something good to learn
        from it judging by the outcome. Show some respect.

As far as I know there is no way to get something back after deleting it using only BT Sync.

I've tried to replace Dropbox with BT Sync few weeks ago. It didn't work up to my expectations.

I write code on several computers and I use Dropbox to keep the files in sync so that I am able to quickly resume working when switching computers. I've never had any kind of sync problems with Dropbox.

I tried doing the same with BT Sync. The biggest problem I had was that sometimes it didn't sync all files. Say I had a directory with 10 files and 3 computers in the BT Sync "network". It was not unusual that 8 files got synced between all computers but 2 of the files would never get synced to one of the computers. Then at a later time, randomly, it would resume sync-ing. After having this problem 3 or 4 times I went back to using Dropbox and never looked back.

I know, I know who he is. It's just I am not convinced at all that the examples used are the best (or even good for that matter) in the field of code reuse etc. He's clearly just advertising his products which can be done in more honest ways.

I'm not sure about that. Feature-wise it might be in a different league but the code is absolutely horrible.

I tried it a few weeks ago and after working for about 2 hours on something I realized that Sketch doesn't have any support for color management (switching color profiles etc.). This is a showstopper for me.

What is wrong with "The Go Programming Language: The Good, the Bad, and the Meh"?

The programming language is called Go, NOT Google Go.

I, for one, hope it goes as far down as possible. Instead of investing in companies driving real inovation for mankind, all money-hungry, so-called, investors are betting their money on a rape-inventory type of application which in my opinion has no real benefits for humans in the long run.
