I have a 8-core 2008 MacPro (desktop) which is still going strong. I replaced the video card and it’s easy to swap in new hard drives. Only issue with Macs is apple stops allowing so upgrades.

I love my work. I think that’s the answer.

To all those saying they don’t put an ounce more than what they’re paid to: imagine being a good employer and urgently you need an extra effort from your team and everyone just clocks out when you need them most cause it’s 5pm. I would clean house the next day.

It feels like the vast majority of the comments are negative towards the stock market and essentially saying “we may not recover this time”. The thing is, we always think that. We always think this time is different. We always think this might be the end. When Covid struck? It was different because the world economy was shut. When 2008 happened? It was different. 2000? Different. 1987? Different. Markets will eventually recover. It will not take you 4 decades to recover. Sure, it could take years. But buy good companies, dollar cost average, and realize your loss isn’t realized until you sell. Also realize that the best time to buy stocks is always, but especially when people are flooding forums with negativity.

Yes, But they would incur an additional service charge for that dispute. That’s the worst part about being a merchant. Someone buys a digital product from you, then they file a chargeback. You are then down the original charge plus a fee that can be as much as $25 or more.

Bitcoin is a store of value. And it's among the fastest, cheapest ways to send money worldwide. As we all know, there is a limit to the number of Bitcoins thus people think the value will increase with demand.

I'm not a Bitcoin investor. But I do buy other alt coins. All the points you mentioned are valid but are constantly being improved upon.

Nobody who invested 1+ years ago is down so save your judgements for the future.

My life is close to yours. I have 2 young kids but I work from home. But here's how I swing it: I wake up at 4:00am and work till about 6am when my kids wake up. Then I'm back at it at 7am when my wife takes over with kids. I then work till anytime between 3pm and 5pm.

That's about 10 to 12 hours a day. It's a lot but I'm usually working on contract or my own business so I love my work.

I don't really believe in side projects. I believe in taking a plunge.

Not to mention how they removed MagSafe which is possibly one of the best Apple inventions.
