One thing PC does not have are the Xbox/Xbox 360 updated games. Microsoft did a great job of making the old games playable on Xbox One with better resolution, performance, etc. It would be nice to play the exclusive games of those consoles on PC through this.
Some parts are hard to follow for a non-cpp programmer but overall it's a great video!
SA2 redux looks more like a remake than a recomp. I didn’t know the project though and it seems promising!
Dragon Quest (which came before Final Fantasy and inspired it) took inspiration from Wizardry. Most RPG from the 80s were inspired by Wizardry. It had huge influences.
That’s interesting. Why do you use event sourcing? Is having a full history important for a website/app like bluesky?
The Myth of Sisyphus By Albert Camus. A great philosophy book, not that hard to read, about the absurdity of life. Camus talks about suicide in this context, and why life still has meaning despite its absurdity. The Art of Not Giving A Fuck by Mark Manson. As the title implies, it talks about caring less about what other think (while not being a narcissist). And how it can make you more happy and more likeable.
It will be 30 australians dollars
Inflation ajusted, the prices are similar to now. But the games do cost less now when you take inflation into account.
It requires effort but less than trying to understand how you could help them, so the point still stands. And even though they might genuinely help others, it’s important to educate people to stop doing it this way, as it can be more harmful than doing nothing.
I don’t think it’s more insane than copying and pasting code from anywhere on the internet. You have to understand what you use and you must not trust it blindly, whatever the source.
There’s documentation usually with an API and you have changelogs. If you scrape the website, if there is a change in the UI, it will break your product. So it is feasible, but it will make all products worse and harder to maintain.
There are still bugs for several games, you cannot play in portable mode and you cannot play online unless you use a custom network used only by emulator users with a specific build.
The thing here is that Dolphin might be breaking the law by having the Wii decryption key in its source code, the link talks about it.
According to the app description, it’s free for a limited time though.
Thanks!
Is it region lock? I cannot access the page from France.
You could say that Call of Duty was a clone of Medal of Honor though. And comparing Chrome with Firefox at the time might be more fair too.
I wonder why humans have been concerned with being distracted for so long. And I think we can wonder about it without refuting social networks can be (though not always) bad for you.
He specifically talked about an audio engineer. Yes as a composer/producer you can get by without audio monitoring hardware if you have an audio engineer taking care of the mixing/mastering after you. Those are different profiles.
I know, but it’s still hard to use on a big website where you have to manage a lot of stacking contexts.
You still have the issue of the z-index being relative to its parent, and not absolute. So depending on which element it is set, its effect would not be the same. It’s still a good practice to use constants, but I still often had difficulties to place elements relative to each others on the z-index.
That would be a pretty bad idea. You could have visual hallucinations, be pretty slow and not thinking normally.
Yes, thanks for the correction tor3!
Just to put a number on the « France love Japan », France is the second market in the world for manga after Japan. Despite being a country producing a lot « bandes dessinées » / comics.
That may seem strange but that would be 「私が」私は牛乳を食べます
Yes but the romanji is still “ha”.
Just a nitpick but the particle “ha”/“は” is not really used to set the subject but the topic or context. The topic or context can often be the subject but it’s an important subtlety. The particle to set the subject is “ga”/“が”.
Yes! And I would insist that learning how the language works is easier, even if it might seem more intimidating at first.
If you just want to get by for your holidays, sure just learn to translate with Duolingo. But if want to speak the language, you will just lose time.
I wonder why they are doing that at the same time they seem to cancel several of the games they were publishing[1] (not Baldur’s Gate 3 coming thus year). Is it just a coincidence or part of a big swift in their business plan?
