Super excited to share a bit the result of my little obsession with self tracking. Next year I want to have even more data and hopefully I'll find more interesting correlations and insights!

mhmm, I never considered direct contact, I thought it might be too intrusive. The websites you provided seems nice, I'll definitely check them out
Thank you, your reply is extremely helpful. I have some questions:
Can you expand on item 2? Also, I'm having trouble finding places where I can find the kind of clients that are looking for quality over fast and cheap solutions, UpWork is not that place and I don't have enough quality contacts (I don't have conferences to go near where I live).
I don't have enough quality contacts to find these clients. And this kind of work is not common where I live so I don't have conferences to go... Do you have any suggestions?
Hmm, it might make sense, but, correct me if I'm wrong, there's almost no room for more expensive freelancers on UpWork. At least I don't see where they (we) would fit.
Saurik did know about the Chinese company and tried to warn Evad3rs about piracy, but I read that Evad3rs thought that the app had nothing to do with piracy. [1]

EDIT:

Thank you!
I see... I'll keep that in mind for the next big update
Thank you zachlatta! I remember You were one of the first person to ever reply me on HN :)
I was very undecided about make it free, paid or in-app and I wasn't comfortable with none of them so I decide to release it paid and see how thing goes.
Maybe another version will be like that. Also why do you think it should be free with in-app?
Photoshop.

Do you think it would impact somehow in sales?
SEEKING WORK - Brazil (Espirito Santo) or Remote - Long or Short Term Projects
I'm an iOS developer very open to new ideas and too search and learn how to do exactly what you want. I'm very accessible and I like to keep in touch with my clients because I think that good work is when the user have their app exactly as they want it to be.
I've been working on: -SongBox an app that's already in the store, I've been maintaining it for the last 2 updates. More than maintaining I've implemented several features that were not ready. -A bingo app for a guy here from Brazil. It's still in -development after that we still need to get a designer to send to the store. It's relative big so it's taking some time. -I've helped with a app called Metrolinea it's an app about Barcelona's metro. (I don't really know if it's already in the store because I just helped a little) -I'm currently working on updates and a new app related to Song Box that don't take much time. If you want I can ask someone to talk about me to you.

We are not normal enough to enjoy a simple life of working 9-5 and partying on the weekends, but not brilliant or lucky enough to achieve the success we would like to attain.
It says a lot about what I think sometimes
Benched, thank you for the answer and I REALLY hope you can get better, if you want something you can email me lorenzopicoli at me . com
Neat! I was just thinking in something like that! Thanks...
Sure! If you need anything just send me an email and I'll be glad to help :D
I had the chance to do this 1 year ago and it's usable (not as good as a real computer) but I think it would be a pain (not worth) to develop an app in a Virtual Machine
That's exactly what I was thinking. And build an android app for all screens take time for those who doesn't work for a company, right?
Wow, I didn't know android developers make that high, but what about make money just sending little apps, because I don't live in US and I don't think we have here that opportunities for developers. And I'm still studying so it would be just do apps and send to the store to get some extra money. But I'll keep in mind that its more powerful than I thought
Sorry, I don't know... Maybe this can help you, but its about the cheapest new Mac http://stackoverflow.com/questions/190662/whats-the-cheapest...
If it's a killer idea and can be monetize why don't you consider invest on it? You can't create iOS apps without a Mac. You can try to do a hackintosh but its a pain if you don't de right hardware.
Another option is to create using HTML 5 but its no the same as a native app.
At least where I live no. I have never used it and none of my friends neither
As wallflower pointed out there are plenty of ways. If I needed to find someone I would ask here (HN) as you said on a job offer. Anyway, I'm a developer and I'm looking to do apps to create a more concrete resume and experience, if you need more information I have a thread here https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=6077474
By the way, don't use approach 0 (spam everyone on LinkedIn) it's horrible.
Yes, create is the most important part. I learned most of what I know taking online courses from Stanford or Coursera or lynda.com
Thanks :)
Hey toutouastro, that was your idea? I saw another person doing this! That's a great idea! How is going your feedback? Do you have a problem about use the same idea?
Hm. I forgot to put on the text :P. lorenzopicoli@me.com or twitter @lorenzopicoli
