I will be graduating from a certificate course at UCLA next month. I have a BEng in Computer Technology. I am currently working part-time as a Software Engineer at UCLA for a research project. I have been freelancing since 2010 mostly working on web apps. I'm good at full-stack JavaScript. I recently wrote a PAM module in Go and I absolutely love the language. I've connection from a tier-1 network in India. It's a 6 mbps dedicated line (a luxury for most) connected with fibre. ping 8.8.8.8 has delay time of ~40 ms. How's that possible considering the calculations given in this article?

Postman works great. The only feature I would like to see added is to somehow easilu swap a base URL in requests. So I have to maintain just one collection per API and not multiple collections for multiple API deployments (production, testing, staging).

Well, you were lucky your parents let you skip out on college. I was kind of forced to do engineering. Even when I got into a rather crappy college (I had started working for a start-up which never took off rather than study for entrance exams). But hey, whatever.

Meetups like these generally have an overlapping crowd from other tech community meetups like RoR, PHP, WordPress.

The new AJAXified interface is slower and more inconsistent. The inline edit feature never works and has a very subtle feedback. But hey, it's ubiquitous and it gets the job done. However, I've started using SequelPro on OS X as a replacement which works pretty great.

Whoa! Hiring decisions? Really? It's like so much of dependence on some third party.

Yeah! I plan on to start learning Ruby.
