Very cool, thanks for the link! I've also seen extensions of Markdown (CommonMark generic directives) that I could use instead of the syntax I made up.
That's indeed a valid question. I think it's quite a bit simpler than HTML, albeit not by a huge factor. I think that that makes a difference, as the relative success of Markdown shows. But I agree I might be wrong, we'll see.
I completely agree, I'm thinking about that. I should probably specify the grammar and make my tm->html converter open source. And probably allow to store on a personal git repo so that nobody is afraid to be locked in. So many interesting things to do, and so little time :)
