I got bad speed even with perfect signal in malls and any place that is more crowded than a Costco. Google Fi doesn't have that problem. I blame it on T-mobile but I would rather Google Fi survives.

In love with Computer Vision. Enthralled by Robotics. Delighted to share and participate in Maker communities.
I have also found this as well. CLI outputs text and input text in an interactive manner, exactly the way that is most conducive to text-based-text-trained LLM.
I do believe that as vision/multi-modal models get to a better state, we would see even crazier interaction surfaces.
RE: duckdb. I have a wonderful time with ChatGPT talking to duckdb but I have kept it to inmemory db only. Do you set up some system prompt that tell it to keep a duckdb database locally on disk in the current folder?
This is the one you want https://www.seeedstudio.com/reTerminal-E1002-p-6533.html?srs...
Spectra color so high res and beautiful with built in esp32.
Do you have a recommended hot air station for tinkerer use? I am trying to move up from breadboarding into something more field-deployable proof of concept.
I like Zed. It's super fast and seems to be getting lots of improvement constantly.
My issue with it is when I use it on my codebase, it doesn't like my (probably old style) eslintrc. So it decides to go ahead and reformat my file on save :(.
While True, I believe the reason Monodraw doesn't expand is because the ASCII / TUI tooling economy is not rewarding. There are few users and even fewer customers who are willing to pay for ASCII/TUI tools.
If you look at tooling companies annual revenue
- Atlassian: 1.4B - Jetbrains: 400M - Vercel: 100M - Supabase: 16M - Prisma: 10M (maybe?)
We dive into the long tail quickly. I would be very surprised if Monodraw make more than 1M a year. At that revenue, it's going to be hard to expand into a multi-platform / web strategy (especially if your existing product is platform-locked).
I think monodraw is way better and at a one time price of $10, it's really is a fantastic piece of software.
This is a super awesome project. Truly the best of all worlds. A real keyboard, a beefy enough compute, an xr glass that has constant use case.
How is the Xreal One Pro for extended use? My concern is I have to put up with low res screen as I code away.
Can you link to some low cost FPGA info? I have always been interested in FPGA as a way to improve run speed for certain code.
I have always found Bitwarden to be the best one after trying many alternatives. One thing that stood out is how its phone app works seamlessly with FaceID/Fingerprint. From logged out to login is as smooth as allowing your phone to use biometrics.
Bitwarden seems to be getting updates often as well which I value in a security conscious product.
This is awesome. With this, I would be able to run JS code that my user provides. I have been looking for a way to bundle my user Typescript code using a bundler in a sandbox environment. Any recommendation on ways to run a bundler (webpack/...) in QuickJS?
Oh? Any links?
Are there Kerbal Space Program like simulation for naval architect wannabe? I have always wanted to learn more about what it takes to design maritime crafts / structure.
What I am looking for is actually something much simpler. I have a laptop and a desktop. I want to click a button to switch between them for the same set of monitors and USB-connected devices.
The USB-connected devices is ok since I can use a USB switcher. But I can't figure out how to switch my monitors' input sources without manually using their OSD and control buttons.
Which model of indoor and outdoor did you go with? My research into multi split suggest that going with multiple mini splits is more efficient. There is also a concern that multi split is not eligible for IRA tax credit
I am considering doing the same thing. Do you end up hosting it via Gmail or is there a provider that you go with? I am looking for something that doesn't have too crazy of a limit, have iOS/Android support and allows *@domain.name to go to the same inbox.
Do you have a demo/link to one of your games? I am interested in learning more about multiplayer experience for web games and would love to see an example with these tools mentioned.
Can you elaborate more how such fraud happens? Also, how would you even get access to court record for these estates? Would these records not be private to the party at hand?
8th Wall https://8w.8thwall.app/welcome runs WASM on the web to perform SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and add Augmented Reality to your space without installing an app.
Everything runs on your device. Works in phone's browser and VR headsets' browser. Even has extra Computer Vision features like Image Target and face tracking as well.
Even if Zillow does, they still take a 12% fee. When I was selling my house a year ago in Texas, Zillow's offer is both lower than comp in the area AND has a hidden 12% fee. Did you know they also charge YOU the repair fee?
I had a chance to talk to an inspector who looked at my place who has previously worked with Zillow to inspect houses that they were buying. The gist is that Zillow are getting the worst houses (the ones with trash everywhere, burnt carpet, feces on the wall). For them to get a "normal" house is very rare. Nobody with a normal house (and better) under normal condition (and better) will sell to Zillow. You can get a 1%+3% fee full service (pro pix, pro staging, pro cleaning, ...) any day of the week and still sell your house in mere weeks. I was not even in Austin. I guess if you don't care about making tens of thousands in a month (or hundreds of thousands in nicer cities), then you have bigger things to worry about.
Zillow's offer was already higher than OfferPad and other iBuyer's services. After my experience on the sell side with Zillow, I am incredibly wary of ALL iBuyers on the buy side.
AR Quick Look is not Web AR. You cannot write web code (JS, HTML, CSS) to interact with your AR elements within your scene. It's very easy to spot fake Web AR: do they have a link on their website that you can click on and it works on all phone browsers? No? It's some proprietary stuff that is wasting your developers' time.
The current state of AR is * Hardware is not there yet. Phone-based AR is the current hardware until then. * Fantastic content is still in the work. Content creators and developers are aware that app download is the biggest slog on distribution. Nobody is going to download (and keep) your app to experience AR for 5 minutes. Most AR experiences last less than 30 seconds. * True Web AR, where you can literally go to a link on your browser and experience interactive AR, is the best medium for content delivery. Write HTML, CSS, JS and get AR content. This works on both short-form (< 5 minutes) experiences and long-form (>5 minutes) experiences. * Foundational layers of AR are either missing or vendor lock-in: persistence object (e.g. come back to the same space tomorrow and see the same thing), multiplayer (e.g. see the same content from your own angle with your friend), distribution (e.g. the same content getting specialized for different form factors), creation tools (e.g. environment scanning, object scanning, ...).
Many (see other comments) people are correct when they say that phone AR is not what AR should be. That even the Hololens or the Magic Leap are not it. This will change with time but it's a catch-22. You need some hardware to get more content to get more hardware to get more content.
AR Quick Look is not Web AR. You can already do true Web AR with all the Javascript you want with 8th Wall.
LOL. My guess would be "All ARKit and ARCore bases are belong to us". 8th Wall XR works on all the ARKit and ARCore devices. Why would you want to create an AR app twice when you can create it once? For free.
It's already out there. https://techcrunch.com/2017/08/28/8th-wall-wants-to-put-awes...
The kit works on Unity and supports both Android and iOS, using the right library on the right phone.
I am trying to look for the logic to layout the plan on a 2D plane so that the boxes don't collide with each other but so far no luck. Can you give me a pointer please?
The sample JSON of the plan doesn't indicate how big the boxes would be when presented on the UI. And also how to draw the connections between them.
