My girlfriend took the course that started in february and her progress is absolutely fantastic.

I really recommend all non-programmers to take it if they want to get a grasp on how cs people think.

I just tried this with a different movie in mind. The results are pretty interesting, but see for yourself:

If you get the same results as I do, you should find the correct answer as duckducks first answer and bings 4th one. Google's first page of search results has no reference to the correct answer (though in the picture search the first one picture is from the movie).

I use google day in day out. Maybe I should overcome that habit :-)

I haven't found one yet. hackaday.com isn't Arduino only, but they cover a lot of interesting projects with Arduinos.

I have been there a couple of times and attended a lot of great talks.

I really recommend this conference to anyone interested in digital culture and create use of technology.

FrOSCon is a quite nice conference. Been there since the first year.

In general I would say yes. But for a definitive answer you should clarifiy:

* which open source license the original gem author chose

* "edit it and launch it as a gem": do you want to distribute the modified gem (e.g. upload to github)?

Looking at Japan you can estimate where it was hit by the tsunami because of the lack of pings.

An upgrade with LVM and cryptfs in use worked for me.
