Mixing js and xml syntax, variables in docblocks, DOM components that are not really DOM components ("React.DOM components look like browser DOM elements, they differ in a few ways"), undocumented/obscure OO features (React.createClass?). Yikes. Thank you, but no, thank you.
It's quite simple: school ends at 3pm. Somebody needs to pick up the kid. After that my 6 yo is perfectly capable of entertaining herself for few hours while I continue my work. And why would you assume minimal commute? For me that's 2.5 h a day, and that's not a lot by NYC metro area standards.
Sorry, I somehow missed it. Now I get this crap when I try to rate apps and this makes me very sad. If Google wants to spend their resources on Google+ - something I'm not interested in - that's their business, but pushing it down everybody's throat like that...

I admit it was a bit difficult to focus after first paragraph which I interpreted as the premise of the whole post and which I consider to be wrong. I read again. No, author is not really on my side: he just says Netflix needs to take a different approach. I say they need "no approach": focus on making content available, more of it and in more ways, on more devices and platforms. At least that's what I pay them for, not for sharing options.
Dear author of the blog post: you are wrong. Watching is a deeply personal experience and sharing it is the last thing I think about when I go to Netflix. And most people on Facebook/whatever social network are not really your friends. And there is no shortage of ways to communicate with _real_ friends should I want to discuss a movie with them. So let Netflix focus on their core functionality instead of this social nonsense.
Me too (with Nvidia, never had an ATI card). I had Thinkpad T510 with Nvidia and used it with two monitors plugged into docking station. Nvidia's proprietary driver is absolutely horrible when it comes to switching between laptop screen and monitors when docking/undocking. Open source driver for nvidia is marginally better in this regard, but is incomplete and unstable and not really an option. Now I have T520 with Intel graphics, and it works very well.
You clearly know nothing about Wikimedia if you think it "works".
reStructeredText has been adopted by Python community as a de-facto standard for writing docs, it's simple, clean and extensible.
Powered by Wikimedia (PHP): this just feels wrong. Not to mentioned that Wikimedia is pretty crappy system. It's markup and templates are horrible.
