Do you use Stripe's risk evaluation API? In my experience, a lot of chargebacks come from people who have had their credit card info stolen, then file a chargeback when they see the unknown transactions in their statement.

You could also try using the two step auth and capture method to allow more time for the victim to realize their info was stolen and do an additional fraud check with potentially more up-to-date models right before performing the capture.

I haven't used CreditKarma's tax product either so I can't speak to its accuracy, but from my understanding they didn't build their own product, they acquired a company called AFJC which has been in the online tax space for a while.

Another complaint was lack of Postgres support. That was added a few weeks ago.

That quote reminded me of something my mentor told me when I was training to interview people in-person. He said if they're really struggling, change it up with an easy question for exactly the reason you gave, but also to get their confidence up so they don't start the next interview feeling bad.

Interesting idea. Do you think you'll have any issues with people trying to wait until they get into an accident to sign up for a Cuvva policy then filing a claim as if the accident happened after the policy went into effect?

Anecdotally, I've found that the method in the article about having a fixed wake-up time worked for me. In college I used to sleep 8-9 hours a night and would feel awful if I got less than 7. I have trouble sleeping early even when I'm tired so when I started working I was only sleeping 5-6 hours and could barely make it through the work day even loaded up with caffeine. After half a year or so I noticed I could skip the caffeine and still felt alert. Now even if I try I can't sleep more than 8 hours.

Comparing JavaScript to BlackBerry doesn't make any sense. Most people replace their devices every 2 years. Unless you like wasting time you're not going to rewrite your app every time a new better language comes out.

This is going to sound a little cliche, but try not to get discouraged by the rejections. After graduating from college I applied to over 100 companies and ended up getting a measly 4 interviews, but one of them did get me a job offer. It doesn't matter if all of the others reject you, it just takes one offer to get you a job.

This is a good point. When you buy hardware, you are now the owner of it so they shouldn't be able to stop you from doing it, just like once you buy a phone you should be able to unlock it or install whatever software you want on it.
