Given today's software, it's trivial to fake a "photocopy" of an ID.
How would one even go about doing this? Sounds rather difficult to make a fake ID convincing.

This is a horrible idea. This is the Bitcoin equivilent of walking around with the entire contense of your bank account, in cash.
If someone mugged him, those Bitcoins are gone. No reversing of payments, nothing. At least on a computer his wallet could be encrypted.
Why would a startup so young would blow their money on hiring 2-3 senior level developers?
IE 10 is decent. But, unfortunately, Microsoft still hasn't leaned its lesson and has no plans to support WebGL. This just means IE will trail behind once again.
