Let's see if it also survives HN hug-of-death :D

I don't get this. Isn't this the same as saying "I taught my 5 year old to calculate integrals, by typing them into Wolfram Alpha"...so the actual relevant cognitive task (integrals in my example, "seeing" in yours) is outsources to an external API.

Why do I need gpt-oss-120B at all in this scenario? Couldn't I just directly call e.g. gemini-3-pro api from the python script?

Which is a good thing :) I am all in for asking questions. If someone can't answer them, it usually means they have not thought about it and are either ignorant or will learn something themselves :D

(like me for your question, as I never tried TabSub with internet disconnected. Was delighted to see it works nevertheless)

It means, that you don't need an internet connection for this to work :) (so it is no rabbitmq or so which runs on a server and the browser is just the client)

You can try on the demopage when you

1. play the songs each (for them to buffer a little audio snippet)

2. open the page in a second tab

3. Disconnect from the internt

Still works :D

I am looking to build a list of German AI products. Because most companies I find are mostly consultancies.

Please help me create this list by adding your company or other AI product companies you know about.

Thank you so much!

This is good until it isn’t. Tried to get it working for 4 hours and it just did not.

And then I had an important architectural gotcha moment: I want my database to be dump. Its purpose is to store and query data in an efficient and ACID way.

Adding cronjobs and http calls to the database is a bad idea.

I love the simplicity and that it helps to keep embedding a up to date (if it works), but I decided to not treat my database as application.

I translate complex engineering into high-impact, scalable products that drive business value. My background is in reliability engineering for web products with technologies such as Golang, Terraform & Google Cloud. But let's be clear: The technologies I choose depend on the best fit for your business. My favorite quote in this regard is "Strong opinions, loosely held". I believe in hierarchical leadership, as every "flat hierarchy" I saw, ended up in a malfunctioning organization.
