YouTube User Guard is a chrome extension which lets you stay signed in to YouTube with a single account indefinitely, even while you're signing in and out of other accounts for Gmail etc.
I made it because I want don't want my YouTube account linked to my work email.
The principle is simple, it monitors for changes in several key cookies and reverts them.
And while Digg was busy copying Google Reader, somebody was busy copying Digg - http://squiz.at

I didn't even consider it, as I created the app for fun and just wanted to put it out there.
I looked at some of the various types of licenses but I have no idea which one I should be using.
My main concern is to prevent people from trying to profit from the software. Any suggestions?
This newest change won't affect me too much because I wrote a Google Chrome extension to keep my YouTube and regular Google accounts separate. However, as the author suggests, content creators will not be so lucky.

YouTube User Guard is an extension for Google Chrome which allows you to stay signed in to YouTube when you sign out of other Google properties such as Gmail.
This extension requires chrome.experimental.infobars, so you must enable Chrome's exeperimental extension APIs. You can do this by going to chrome://flags and enabling Experimental Extension APIs. You must restart Chrome for changes to take effect.
I created this extension out of frustration. I don't want to stay logged in to Google and be tracked all over the net, but I do however want to use a YouTube account for favouriting and liking the various videos I encounter each day.
Now that I've been using this extension for months with complete success I feel it is time to share it with the world. Hope somebody benefits from it :}
