Please explain what "smarter than eight billion people" mean? What is the smartness of eight billion people, is it some new aggregate? Do you sum it or get the mean? Are eight billion people by default always right? I am curious how it can make sense.

So, money is equal to stolen time in you view. So if I work and get paid I am a thief. It makes little sense. When I get paid I can use this money to buy someone else labor. It is a medium of exchange and it is indicator of value that I generate. In the free market place, by default, you must generate or promise to generate value to get paid.

If you are the richest man on earth and are attacked by political elites how would you defend yourself? Mind that they control, to some extent, media and institutions. There are things beyond money.

Why do you feel a need to defend political propaganda? Did you not just try to show that it is instrumental? If anything I guess you agree that there is this top down attack on Musk. Well, he became so influential that shady political interests are in play.

I would rephrase it to "political propaganda machine dislikes and distrusts Musk". It is telling that Tesla was not invited to the EV summit or that or was removed from S&P 500 ESG.

I remember that dying in this game is extremely stressful. Moreso than in any other game I played. Each death removes the XP from your character often equivalent to XX hours of effort to level up. And it is not that hard to die, so you have to put a lot of attention in what you are doing and it creates an illusion of importance. It is very addictive. I do not recommend it.

I think you brought up some interesting points. You increased the complexity of the model by adding new dimensions. But you did not explain how including these would change the conclusion. Does assuming the switching cost makes a gig work opportunity a net negative for those seeking a job? The pros and cons should be quantified somehow, but that is probably almost impossible to do. In that case I am inclined to make sure as many people as possible have the opportunity to work, since I believe that not being able to be a productive member of a society is very bad for a man.

This. Do the most valuable thing you can. If repairing provides significantly less value than your other work, do not repair. It is great that we can afford so much stuff now. Thanks to it we can spend more time on helping the environment.

So you suggest he is a bad businessman and his success is only attributable to luck. To understand how ridiculous this claim is you first need to realize that there are infinite ways to fail and very very little ways to succeed. Good and bad decisions are not symmetric, it is not 50:50, it is more like infinite:1. But even if it was 50:50, for the thought experiment sake, if you make random decisions you quickly make a bad one, and to be successful you need to make way, way more good decisions than bad ones. Sure luck is obviously always a factor, but thinking that he created a car that he later sent to space on his own rocket is not a sign of extraordinary competence, well, to me you can as well claim that the Earth is flat.

I have been recently looking for a program that does a similar thing, ie simplifies creation of configs. And I did not find a suitable one by Googling. Then I realized the PHP is perfect for that and I already know it! The output of PHP does not have to be HTML or other web stuff, instead it can be a config file.

So now there is a widespread support for Musk buying Twitter? Okay, he may end up owning Twitter whether he likes it or not. It is so funny and ironic. Whatever the outcome I agree.
