We use it in similar way. We also use skype for ad hoc, private group chats/im.

"what does this even mean?" great explanation here: http://www.paulgraham.com/relres.html
being "egoless" is a good advice for different professions, not programmers only
thanks. we'll look in to it!
great insights, thanks for sharing!
are you using "checklists" internally? how do encourage people to use them?
Dont you think that what you are describing sounds like a huge overhead. Rather then tweaking the product you have to "trade features" with customer.
It's also something that is very difficult to scale. It's hard to expect that every person who is good on the job is also good in negotiating with customers.
my 0,02 will be - do not overdose caffein before public speaking. one can of coke is enough before 30 mins speech.
if you have more you will rush your speech to much, you will sweat and fill strange because of heart rate
if you are aggressive type of person your goals are probably more... aggressive. nice guys tend to be more satisfied with what they achieved already. compare jobs - wozniak duo.
(generalizing like that is not the best way of thinking about people - people are more complex that "nice/bad" dichotomy)
probably title is bit too much provocative, but I am glad we agree on importance of this things
what a waste of time (creator time)...
agree. colaboration feature is a must. for me it could easily replace piratepad if it have implemented colaboration.
