A 2 stroke diesel is different from a 2 stroke gasoline engine. It doesn't have the same environmental issues because there is no oil in the intake. The only downside is it needs a supercharger to work so it's not practical in small engines. Most(all?) large diesels like in trains and ships are 2 stroke because of the better power/weight ratio.

Bulgaria has a corporate tax at 10%. The e-government isn't nearly as developed though. There was some talk about using the Estonian experience to help in building ours but that is still just an idea.

The An-124 is the useful large cargo plane. The 225 is more or less a larger version of that for specialized cargo that is rarely needed thus one being enough to service the entire world. If the demand was there I'm sure a second one could be finished quite quickly.

Also the Russians made most of the advances on habitable space stations. Most important achievement for the long term exploration of space IMO. I think it's a shame that many of the achievements will be lost to history for political reasons but I guess it doesn't really matter who did what. The cold war in itself was probably a good thing in that regard.

It is misleading only in that the spending should have been per capita. I don't think that changes the point though which is that however much you spend it is just money wasted. As far as I am concerned money shouldn't be thrown away when the approach obviously isn't working no matter how much you think the goal is worth it. For the record I don't agree that the government should ban substances outright, just make sure they are labeled properly for the harm they do.

You can see when the ISS is in range by watching the live video stream. From what I have seen it's rarely out of contact and they obviously have bandwidth to spare for that.

The rule of law is a great thing. It's a shame when short sighted people enforce the letter instead of the spirit of the law as that undermines order in the long term.

To be fair I'm not comfortable taking my eyes off the road as a passenger with a human driver. I think people underestimate the fear of not having control. This will be a major issue to overcome and for some it will be like the fear of flying on a commercial aircraft. The fact they know it's safe doesn't really help much.

That may not sound like much but here in Bulgaria just a few years ago we used to get 2-5 IPs with faster home plans and 1 with even the cheapest. The pressure is slowly hitting the end users so it can't be that much longer until it becomes cheaper to switch.

It wasn't even that. Locals were also allowed to buy as long as they had foreign currency. While it was hard to get it was by no means impossible (black market at 3-4 times the official rate). Of course if you bought anything expensive or too often, questions would be asked.
