Usenet Archives 4 months ago

I'm sorry, it's only for people I know personally. Also, it only holds minor Usenet hierarchies like the vestigial dk.*.

It's not too difficult to set up INN2, and it's easy to get an external feed. It uses minimal resources, and there is hardly any maintanance once it has been installed and configured.

I'm not a programmer, but I like this. It's very easy to use. I can even use gojju on the shebang when writing scripts. I'm a fan. I could package this for ArchLinux User Repository (AUR).

In the long run it would probably nice with a switch or an environment variable to make the banner less intrusive.

The license file seems to be missing.

This looks neat.

Is there a way to change the password length? It seems PASSWORD_LENGTH is set to 20 in config.py, but if keepr is installed by the sysadmin, users won't be able to change this.

And about security: Even if the database is encrypted, it would be nice if keepr set the umask to at least 0027 (possibly even 0077) at startup so that everything is only readable by the user.

Cheers.

Bonus for not having 200 questions. It's nice to be able to have the results quickly. :)

I found myself disagreeing, even strongly, on the majority of questions. And what's with all the partying and hanging out with people? It would be nice if the same conclusions could be reached with, say, roughly 50:50 agreement:disagreement (each question could potentially be asked from the opposite viewpoint, and the site could randomly choose one of the two forms).

As for the results: Not surprisingly, the site rated me at 100% introversion (which is similar to what I have scored as in other such tests), but it was only after looking at the scores for the other parameters that it became apparent what an all-blue bar that went from 100% to 0% meant. I.e., it was unclear that blue meant introversion and green meant extraversion.

Overall a nice experience, though.

It would be interesting to let it absorb water at ambient temperature, then let koji do the job with the proteins.
