Mmm ok but hear me out… A behringer delay is $20
Yes I was wondering what is the benefit of cernvm filesystem vs other HTTP based fuse mounts (http, swift/s3)?
What not to do: host “self documenting” API docs which are only accessible from an API endpoint themself and contain zero context or examples, only terse names and descriptions.
Let’s move the linux kernel and sshd into systemd while we’re at it
What do you mean? My daily code editor is notepad via a shared screen. It’s the best!
Hmm do great developers really even think or worry about being a great developer?
Everyone is on their own path and has their own strengths, there’s not much point in comparing yourself to others (unless you want to be unhappy)
“something went wrong”
Vote with your wallet. Do not purchase any car with these "features"
We're talking about California BTW
Banks would only stop offering loans if required by law to stop, how is that different from a state or federal ban?
I hope that more Americans will settle on CUVs as family cars.
CUVs are built on car style chassis (as opposed to SUV which are built like trucks) and generally are smaller and more fuel efficient (modern turbo 4 cyl designs are pretty impressive). Yet they retain the vast majority of benefits (roomier, higher, AWD, seating up to 7)
Yes CUVs are bigger than sedans, however for a family they check all the boxes and are in my opinion a vastly better alternative to vans, pickups and large SUVs, all of which often come in v6 and v8 engines.
Be serious. That's a $100k car. This person has 4 kids.
Would it be better for them to sell you a surface mount electrical component and let you figure out how to solder it yourself?
I’ve taken apart various macs using screwdrivers, spudgers, and plastic pry tools.
The most awkward was a plastic pizza cutter designed to cut the adhesive backing of the screen.
It’s really not that hard, but very happy to see it getting easier.
And I am annoyed at people who ignore messages, even a basic “hello”. Seems pretty rude.
Good! If you went up to someone in person who is in flow state and say HELLO! you'll probably get a rude response too.
Yes exactly this!
It's possible to be polite while being mindful of how many interrupts you are causing another person.
I’ll add too that it’s better to end a work convo with pleasantries than to begin one.
“Hey I’m blocked on xyz, thanks anyways how was your weekend?”
Is far more pleasant than
“Hey how’s the weekend? anyway I’m blocked on xyz”
I guarantee you are annoying people with this. “Hello” conveys no information, you might as well say “tag”.
“Hello, could we set a time to chat about xyz” lets the reader give a meaningful response when available (and maybe thats immediate)
I simply ignore hellos but happily respond to questions.
A reface CP with a midi -> bluetooth dongle would do it
I really like the keybed on the yamaha reface series. It has smaller keys, but they are proportioned very well and the feel is good.
The reface series do have sound engines built in, but they can be used as midi controllers as well. Plus they have speakers built-in (along with MIDI, headphone, line in, line out) and can run on batteries, so it's a great portable option.
I have the reface CS, and I like it because it's two in one, midi controller and synth.
Technically imperfect and “a scam” are very different things
Maybe you could strike a deal to be laid off instead of the 2 directs. Very hard thing to navigate though, especially if they were to say no
Looks like a thick pocket operator. Hopefully they do get made and have some revisions, would be a cool option with some more modern features
Of course this half baked system that requires constant over the air bug fixes would plow through a kid in a crosswalk.
What puzzles me is that people actually bought into the marketing hype. Its a prototype quality car running alpha software…
Youtube? Don’t they mean TikTok?
There must be something that could be tapped before the power amp section
Keep old shirts and make a blanket out of them
Hmm, hacking in a stereo line level out seems more worthwhile. Chip amps can be found super cheap, and will likely give better results (as would a traditional amp)
+1 to airfoil, the only thing I wish they would do is reduce the pricetag and update the interface. Software works great though!
