The worst thing about LLMs getting commoditized and becoming cheaper is seeing slop like this pollute every meaningful discussion on the internet

Unfortunately, you don't always know if on-call will be involved until you start at the job. Often many companies don't even hire you with a particular role in mind, instead you are matched to a team after you're signed on. (Especially for new grads). And sometimes on-call is introduced in an existing role, it can be difficult to refuse, especially for people in more junior roles.

But definitely ask about on-call when interviewing, in case they say they have it you can bail out before you sign.

Architecture.md 5 years ago

That sounds a bit excessive. If your project is going through a lot of changes and refactoring, the multiple architecture.md files will be hard to keep up-to-date

Thankfully, plugins like Lombok partially solve this issue - while we still have unnecessary accessors, atleast they don't pollute the source code and make it hard to read and navigate.

This is pretty much what happens in most of the top private engineering schools in India. About a third of the seats are earmarked for "management quota", meaning you pay the management to get in. The rest qualify via various exams.

Works well, doesn't really devalue the prestige of the uni or the students who get in by paying like some of the sibling comments are speculating.

IIRC, enabling usb mass storage boot involves setting some OTP bits, which permanently disables usb host boot. But AFAIK, the 3B doesn't support usb host boot anyways. Is there any feature you could lose by enabling mass storage boot in this case?
