It is all about which "circles" have migrated. A lot of the people I follow have reported that while having a lot fewer followers, they have a lot more interactions - and a LOT less bot-interference.
Working on a virtual file system with Dokana (C#), to enable a cloud-backed storage solution in the video editing space. It is kicking my ass.
Finnish people are typically quite humble and don't invite a lot of attention.
Slightly off topic, but where do you go to find this now?
There is a fair bit of "eruption chasing" going on. People want to see it up close.
I lived in Iceland in 2010, when Eyjafjallajökull erupted and stopped most of the air-traffic in Europe. I was fortunate enough to go with some friends (in jeeps with very large tires, to traverse a snow-covered glacier) to see the eruption up very close. We were about 200m from the erupting lava. Most amazing nature-experience of my life - by a mile.

Just tested on pixel 7a.
When I click the power button 5x, a screen appears with:
- A large circle in the middle of the screen, which I have to press and hold for 3 seconds to initiate the call.
- A slider to cancel the screen entirely
So just hitting the powerbutton 5x does not actually make the call on Pixel 7a, just makes it easier.
Outrageous!
The army of USSR just took a field-trip to Poland to protect Soviet minorities!
They then rounded up about 22,000 Polish military officers, took them to the Katyn Forest outside of Smolensk for a lovely picnic - as a show of good will.
How these thousands of Polish officers ended up in mass graves with bullet holes in the back of their heads remains a mystery.
Russia is also downsizing military presence along NATO borders.

It was never about fear of NATO. It was about expanding the empire - and feeding a autocratic dictatorship that needs a common enemy and distract from the absurdity of having the maybe the country richest in the world in natural resources - and yet a large portion of the population doesn't have indoor plumbing, while an oligarch-elite murders opposition and flies helicopter to get to their super-yacht...
Russia has enormous resources and could have become an incredibly rich country where all citizens would prosper and have amazing opportunities.
Unfortunately the Russian culture prohibits this. Rampant corruption, citzen apathy and an eternal desire to murder their neighbours.
I am not interested in knots. Yet, I just spent 20 minutes watching these animations and being fascinated. Good work.

That fact is conveniently never mentioned in the story of how USSR beat the nazis.
The "Great patriotic war", as WW2 is usually referred to in Russia, also conveniently starts in 41 - not in 39. The reason being, that USSR were allied with nazi-germany 39-41 (which is also conveniently never mentioned).

The mass-graves with civilians, hands tied behind their back, gunshot to the back of the head, clear signs of torture, thousands of witness-testimonies. Bucha, Irpin, Izium etc.
And all of it will look like tiddlywinks compared to when we get the full picture of what happened in Mariupol one day.
But if you want to believe it is all lies and evil nazi (or is it satanic these days?) NATO-propaganda, go ahead.
I probably would have been, if it had been myself. However, this was my local Indian director, who is very well versed in navigating Indian bureaucracy. They were just ignorant, completely disinterested in helding and wildly incompetent.
No, this was just incompetence/ignorance on the govts part. My local (Indian) company director had full authority to do whatever he thought was needed.
This is exactly what happened to me.
~5 years ago, I hired three Indian developers. They asked me if we could set up an Indian legal entity, so that they could just get regular salaries in India with tax payments, deductions etc taken care of. I agreed and we got it done.
One of the worst business-decisions of my life. The amount of red tape, stupid rules, corruption, signatures, stamps, showing up physically in a certain office etc etc... Mindblowing.
I will not tire you with all the details, but to this day, Indian tax authorities still hold money hostage, that they agree my Indian company is owed (GST refunds). But all attempts to actually get the money back falls on deaf ears. We have sent experts to the relevant tax offices etc, but the ONLY guy who can handle it is never there, refuses to deal with it, then says we need to go somewhere else - where we are sent back etc etc. Sent around in circles, basically - with everybody recognizing the money is in fact owed...
I will never do business in India again. Happy to work with Indian developers (I still do), but they will get paid as freelancers and deal with the red tape on their end.

According to your numbers, 310 civilians died in the Russian-occupied parts of Ukraine from 2018-2021. Obviously 310 too many, but civilian losses are unfortunately an ugly part of warfare, because war takes place where people live. And of course there are higher numbers of casualties in occupied territories, because that is what they are fighting about.
But to put that 310 number into perspective...
458 civilians were exhumed from mass-graves in Bucha in Ukraine. Many summarily executed (gunshots to the back of the head), with hands tied behind their backs, clear signs of torture etc etc.
That was just ONE village under Russian occupation. Just ONE. The same or similar happened many, many other places, most of them still in Russian-occupied territories, where the mass-graves have not yet been exhumed.
When one day Mariupol is liberated and the truth comes out about what there, it will make Bucha look like a school-yard argument.
Russia seems to not even be pretending any more. They are just straight up targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure with long-range missiles, during rush morning hour to create maximum terror.

This is standard operating procedure with large Indian outsourcing-companies.
Get the contract using great people. Before the ink on the contract is dry, send in hopelessly underqualified staff. By the time the client finds out, their "old" internal resources are long gone, bonuses have been paid out to management for reducing cost etc.
I experienced this first-hand with Cognizant.

When I am on Amazon, trying to find something, I always feel like I have to fight the site, rather than being helped by it. Paid ads, very poor categorization/property-search, deceptive UX, fake reviews, "amazon picks" etc etc etc. And when I find the right product, I might receive a fake.
I think what people enjoy and celebrate about McMaster-Carr is that it is exactly the opposite of that.
