Out of the box - A/B testing, digital products delivery, course creation, upsells (including post-purchase), order bumps, subscription billing, paid blogging/ memberships, and more.

Our weakness right now against Shopify is we have less features on the physical product side - like 3PL integrations, but we're building those out as we see more people need them.

Hey guys! I'm one of the co-founders of Hyax along with Jack Paxton. I'm on the product side, so please let me know if you've got any questions about Hyax. Happy to answer them!

We call ourselves Shopify for digital creators. So we give you the ability to sell digital products / courses / memberships along with your regular eCommerce products.

To that end, we've built a pretty robust system for developing your courses & memberships and building out your ecommerce storefront.

This idea came to us when we realized that the space for ecommerce had several holes. Generally people use multiple plugins to solve these holes, but plugins are highly irregular and have security flaws.

We give you the ability to run marketing funnels along with your store, post-purchase upsells, order bumps. You can also sell subscriptions and set-up payment plans.

We also prioritize a beautiful looking UX and the ability to really customize your store.

Also A/B testing out of the box as well.

In essence, I built out the store that I wish I had as a marketer / entrepreneur.

Happy to take any questions =)

Courtland, this is absolutely fantastic. Congrats man!

I'm wondering how this works out for you as an entrepreneur. Obviously now you're working for a larger corporation, but does your long-term vision align? For example, is your deal structured in a way that growing indie hackers also personally grows your income? Or is it now just a strict employee-employer relationship with a bonus (acquisition offer) upfront?

Not sure your logic is correct here. Real geniuses go to Harvard all the time and they like stamps of approval just like anyone else. Why would a genius not want a stamp of approval? Why would a good company not want a stamp of approval? Leonardo Dicaprio doesn't NEED an academy award but he wants one. Albert Einstein doesn't need to publicize his theorems for the world to gush over how smart he is, but he does it anyway. Genius chess players don't NEED to win competitions, but they want to for the recognition.

Besides piracy, udemy itself is just a terrible platform. Unless you agree to sell your course for $10, you'll pretty much never get promoted there organically. They want YOU to do all the work of promoting it to your list, etc. What's worse is that they close off their system as well, making it impossible for you to collect email addresses or send marketing messages.

It's a much better idea to use your own platform.

Capitalism works because having money gives the people an incentive to work harder and fit within the "system" of the government. This is why it's generally seen as a more favorable system than communism/socialism.
