At the height of the GamerGate debacle someone created an auto blocker that automatically blocked ppl on a list, it also blocked anyone who followed those ppl. So if, like me, you didn’t necessarily agree with the views of ppl on that list but followed them to get a sense of who they are and what perspective is, you got blocked right along with them. I remember reading some of László Polgár work after becoming interested in how he raised three daughters, two became chess prodigies, the third a concert musician. He posited that "that any child has the innate capacity to become a genius in any chosen field, as long as education starts before their third birthday and they begin to specialise at six". This seems at odds with the notion that parents should "back off".

Did something similar with iTerm changing both the background colour and setting a badge which effectively visually watermarks my terminal session with the host name of the machine I'm connected to.

Not sure that the problem is incompetent colleagues as much as it is an unwillingness on his part to reach out and help them understand the code he was writing. There is an argument for saying that good code is code that easy to understand, but above that you need to collaborate with others.

Whilst this project is looking for funding, that's not what I found interesting about this. It's the fact that the simulation itself allows players to programme their own ships systems; which has all sorts of implications for customisation, sharing etc.

We've been using Waffle.io which provides a nice Kanban style board and lets you tag and order the issues in Github. I'd be interested to hear what others are using?

He inspired me too after studying some of his games and reading about him and his philosophy to the game, playing as Black did become more fun as well.

It's a good point, unfortunately the problem with that is how far back we should we go?

For example: Same sex marriage ( not just civil union ) did occur for example in the Roman Empire, until the Christian Emperors Constantius II and Constans passed a law prohibiting same sex marriage and making it punishable by death.

... that's pretty impressive for an 84 year old nun, after circumventing security at, what one might hope, is one of the securest sites in the US, they did what? sing songs, hang banners, and invite the guards to break bread and pray with them?

I wonder are they being punished for what they did, or how easily they managed to do it.
