if they cant manage that, that is a great red flag when you need to explain your quit.

we have teams in UK (-1), Hungary and China(+6), so basically the same setup.

We do standups in UK morning so EU members have a morning standup and China members have a 'day closing' standup: "today i did..., tomorrow i will begin with ...".

get some money in the old way. if it is still in your head after 6-8months and dont let you sleep, you can still continue.

this is really easy: define goal, context and measurement. assign to dev. discuss with dev if needed. check and collect on ready.

if he is a good developer this is enough for him.

And for you? you are delegating, you have nothing to do about that fking task. except answering questions and collecting results.

Forget it. And if it comes back to your mind forget it again. Until the dev comes to you with a question or with a result.

I don't like the even split either. if I have twice as many votes than you, why would you get the same money?

in my ideal system voting strength would be scaled through donation amount: if you donate more, you have more points to vote with. the scale is not linear, lets say logarithmic or at least closer to that.

you don't even need to run apache or a node.js file server for this.

just put your responses into files on a relative path according to your request. eg: api/product/31.json api/product?orderby=name api/product?orderby=price

so if you have a demo webapp just package the static data with your app and redirect/configure api calls to the service in the live app

if static data is enough, you can simple place it to files and serve as simple http

you could try with another domain. when i launched my site, the .com was for sale over 15000$ but .eu was not yet registered so i went with that.
