Let's not exaggerate. This is not a third world country. A lot things work really well. You're right that immigration was not handled well but except that Belgium is pretty well managed.

Reading 'The great race' (http://amzn.to/1M08aQK) atm. Didn't realize that so many people have been working on EV's during the past decades.

China had great plans but has been quite slow to implement them since the provinces kept competing for funds. The role of Europe has been quite limited.

Solar panels + batteries will have an enormous impact in a lot of countries. Once ppl buy a stove it is 'free' to use vs having to buy fuel every time (like pellets or ethanol). Will take 10-15 years but it is coming. Combine this with satellite internet and the living standard will radically increase.
3 years of test flights. Am I the only one that finds this a long time to test an aircraft?
My phone is 2,5 years old and still works very well. Just has tons of bloatware (damn you HTC!). Might have to root the phone to uninstall that junk.
Off topics but the fact that Uber requires you to have the latest version of its app to book rides is ridiculous. Not everyone has the newest smartphone with tons of space to update apps.
Maybe governments should stop being such a big spenders. The problem is that they never cut their costs and people seem to accept that (at least in Europe). What are these people (politicians) even doing the whole day? Most countries in Europe are super small and quite easy to manage.
Read an article a while ago where they did an analysis of the amount of printers a company needed to sell to break even (based on the parts cost). The conclusion was that there were just too many players in the field to ever make money (given the limited market atm).
You can ask the same question about universities. They are also quite aggressive when it comes to patenting. Some even bully researchers that want to start their own company to sign licensing deals.
Really excited about this! In combination with Google's Project sunroof (https://www.google.com/get/sunroof#p=0), this could it make it more straightforward to install solarpanels.
Really like the car. Just a tad concerned that the huge front window will break/shatter a lot if you hit some debree (or there is just a lot of junk on the roads where I live).
