I played a game pretty similar to this when I was a kid. It was a Game and Watch style game with two buttons on a simple LCD screen. I got it for free with a happy meal. Bull.

Taking notes, taking notes, taking notes. Notepad as an external memory is just an amazing game changer for this. Doesn't even need to be deep, just a running tally of what you're thinking to get it to somewhere that you can reference it instead of running it on a loop in your short term memory. Makes fading in and out of it so much easier. I treat it like a conversation with myself half the time and the other half the time like I'm writing a reference book for someone else. Its worked well for fresh code, code to be, and analyzing existing code made by someone else. Cannot recommend it enough.

The only thing preventing me from jumping right onto this is the fact it doesn't seem to be an oauth2 provider, and it doesn't seem to have the verify/reset/etc jobs necessary for username & password.

Verify/reset/etc is always what pushes me away from doing multi-user webapps. Its a headache every time due to needing to think about e-mail, and I'd love an all-in-one oauth2 provider with signup and etc thats super lightweight and just does everything through an API.

Haha, yeah. I guess things like Cargo bikes don't exist. Nor does just bringing your stuff onto the train and putting it into it's cargo holds. Or bringing your cargo bike onto the train.

Yup, private carriages are the only option for your occasional weekly or monthly tasks.

I guess its also just outright impossible to just allow for mixed zoning that'd allow for daily grocery shopping as well.

Buddy you had every ability to half ass that on-call and no one would have faulted you for it and it would have resulted in the corporation realizing they needed to harden that duty better.

Delegate the prioritization by using a template similar to this one.

"Hey, I noticed [this thing that I think might be a problem]. Would you like me to [do a specific action that would probably fix it] or move onto something else?"

Companies don't reward morality, they're trained to extract as much value out of a resource as possible - it is the duty of a worker to establish limits and enforce them at every opportunity. "Doing only what needs to be done" is a perfectly normal limit.

Ahahahahaha oh man. Oof. Oh. Jeeze.

I was born in Davie, somewhere outside Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

Everything in Florida is a scam that does not discriminate. A scam on the users. A grift on the employees. A land inflated by speculation. You won't get paid enough to live there and everything will price you out of paying for it anyway.

It used to be tongue in cheek, but then we got to see Poe's Law prove itself in real time. Every time I join a 40k community, 80% will be communists making fun of nazis. The other 20% will be mask-off nazis. Game Workshop's focus on trying to be marketable instead of comedy doesn't help this at all, as they start choosing sides to turn into the good guys for traditional storytelling and marketing purposes.

Hey, take care of yourself. Stop giving into this macho-ism that only benefits a corporation. Value yourself more than profit. Anxiety and mental diseases are still diseases. They're worthy of sick time. Physically being unable to work and Mentally being unable to work are both being unable to work and they both damage you when ignored.
