Does anyone else feel each model is like watching your kids grow up. They we're bubbly and fun and weird, you needed to tell them to sit down and be quiet.

Now if you tell them too much they go mute or stop telling you important information. Oh intelligence!

I think we're also ignoring a potential innovative move in how models work.

If someone could splinter or fragment the models into more specific tasks i.e "spellchecker AI" and get these working as well as Sonnet 4.6-4.8 on those tasks on a personal laptop. You then question the $100 a month fee.

Bear in mind these laptops are likely to be $5000 or so because of the memory, HDD and M7 chip they likely need.

It feels to me like the beginning of the inflection point but software updates not hardware updates will be the accelerant.

It feels like a dedicated orchestration/planning agent needs to be much clearer on costs now as part of the tast plan. Multiple models used at different stages depending on the task.

openrouter works perfectly well for me called by cloudflare workers. open router also has superior cascading and waterfalling if models are offline. Not sure they have that working from V1.

I love everything about openrouter. So kinda a fan boy.

The fact that now every agent designer knows what was already built is a huge shot of steroids to their codebase!

I used this with Claude to cross compare against my current project and it found 11 pretty significant improvements. Very awesome set of prompts for the ai to then work on.

Wow I just spotted that the new price does NOT include the 96w power adapter! That's a new cheeky cost at £79 over in the UK.

I wasn't a coder but with AI I am actually writing code. The more i familiarise myself with everything the easier it becomes to learn. I find AI fascinating. By making it so simple and clear it helps when i think what i need to feed it.

Why wont they actually allow users to control their own algorithms? Why can't we switch off "thirst" or "cat videos"?

I don't social media much but to not be on it, is FOMO for your social life. Someone out there needs to open up the algo to your own CHOSEN bias' not the ones they know get clicks.

Yeah I need to mirror a few other comments. I would definitely give this a go, but I need plugins that connect automatically to my Broker. In my case IBKR, but the top brokers you would need Schwab, Fidelity, Trading212, Hood.

Without that onboarding the tool becomes a headache and what I already have is good enough. YNAB is also a very good reference of where to go next in the budgeting sense. That has a real use case and also opportunity for solving many users needs.

Good luck I can see it's a great piece of software, but as trading is my fulltime job I have far too many trades and without an auto-importer it wont work for me.

yup I'm an M1 max laptop, i actually went upto an m4 pro and went back the m1 max, it could handle more trading screens!

I really love reading the wisdom of older people. Society really dismisses everyone over 80, but I find myself having deep interesting connections with a few people much older than myself (38).

Something society always neglects is that everyone goes through the same thoughts time and time again. We all make mistakes and we learn our own way, but when someone's 90, they really have done a lot of it all before. Even if we think everything is different, human's really are very similar. We all have emotions, we all have desires and we are all deep down social creatures. So I would only encourage more people to step out and try to make an honest, deep, friendship with someone a lot older than you. It can really help give you guidance and perspective.

His small data, big task approach is interesting. Much more based in our own learning and growth as humans. If you master the ability to learn you'll be able in more novel situations to continue to learn. I do get a sense from current AI that huge data leads to knowledge without wisdom.

It also seems that perfecting the learning with nothing would scale much better with knowledge.

I think this is a nice challenge. Touch typing was something i was never taught. I definitely have incorrect finger placement for instance.

However I know my overall typing speed is good from the 20 years i've spent behind a keyboard! I actually think the UI is good, with some interesting elements that are not so distracting.

It doesn't look like it. There isn't a clear comparison to a "human trader".

Buffet reminded me a lot of Angela Merkel.

They stood clearly and simply for good moral judgment, fair systems and looked at the bigger picture to carry most people forward. They also based all their decision in facts, truth and science. They learn't their trades (economics & politics) over time and weren't afraid to adapt as times changed.

Their slow and steady presence did more for equality and fairness than many others. We will need to find these values again after the current times have played out.

This looks like a massive win if you were the NHS and had to scan and process old case notes.

I appreciate this isn't about Japanese pencils, but if anyone is ever visting the LAke District in the UK, I highly recommend going to the Derwent Pencil Museum. It's absolutely fascinating how pencils came to be, the number of steps to make them etc.

I really appreciate old school manufacturing and pencils were the top tech around the turn of the century!

Lovely little game.

It wasn't immediately obvious what the coins were for, as in i would make it so that you spend them on upgrades it ties much more clearly into why i want them.

Easy to add more special blocks i.e double ball, multipliers etc. level design could become more interesting / think about multiple level stacking, so i feel progress.

XP system is an easy add to unlock some core features maybe a backpack/weapons, things that add simple bulk to the game.

In general a great prototype, watch people play the game and correct peoples first time user experience. You might also need to add a few words to the very first round to help people understand the goals!

It's largely a measure of risk & reward for your time in 20s-30s. What would you rather as a bright, intelligent, driven person? Put your heart and soul into a high risk but genuinely interesting problem or get paid well to work on someone else's reasonably interesting problem.

I personally had a startup, it was a consultancy business, we got to 5 employees and I learnt a lot. It was very low risk, $0 in VC and bootstrapped from an employee stock benefit of $20k. I focussed on me working just like my employees. I had fun doing it, paid myself well, learnt a lot. I am now financially stable, no debt and own a house outright. That was always enough for my dreams.

I think before jumping in two feet first, lower your life risk. Aim for your 40s to be your own, where you can travel and live free.

This would be useful in all retail sectors. Things like DIY tools or raw materials along with components or chemicals. Most components or parts such as Graphics Cards already have strong price competition as you can buy it and get it shipped from anywhere.

It is usually the local, raw materials where collusion is strongest.

It's a broken argument to assume you need inflation for a reasonable money system. If a money system becomes popular then the price of goods becomes cheaper in that money as it is more scarce.

Goods would be less sats over time.

Inflation is bad for everyone apart for the people who print the money, hence the mess we're in.

Nice idea! I am your target audience, i TV+IBKR+Day Trade. I know this is your first launch but i definitely needed a video to see what it was you had created, with only a single screenshot i wasn't clear on all your functionality.

I am based in the uk so i don't think its available in my webstore. I also use the TV app most of the time but happy to use the browser to get this to work.

The biggest thing for me preventing me from using it, is security and privacy. As this is my financial institution I am highly cautious about installing or using any data mining or services with access to my API. How can you alleviate or make it clear what you do with data and also what your app has access too?

AI has now evolved beyond just the science and it's biggest issue is in the productization. Finding use cases for what's already available ALONG with new models will be where success lies.

ChatGPT is the number 1 brand in AI and as such needs to learn what it's selling, not how its technology works. It always sucks when mission and vision don't align with the nerds ideas, but I think it's probably the best move for both parties.

oh this is cool. I did think for a 2 day setup and 1/2 day takedown it wasn't a huge efficiency saving but it is if you move it down the road at the same time. As the comment above mentions, safety is a huge factor too.
