Funders Network 13 years ago

It was a totally different title "A virtual demo day for YC, 500, TS, FI and other alums". We are doing this contest for our peer mentorship community of tech founders - many of whom are YC, 500, FI, TS alums - and we have judges from August Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, SoftTech VC, Matrix Partners, etc. Sadly it appears someone at HN changed the title to Funders Network and pulled it from the list, not sure why. This is a community event that many HN readers are connected to and would likely enjoy supporting. Can someone at HN please help?

Thanks Marc. I will give it a shot. e.g. "look for questions that are relevant to the problems we are trying to solve, and answer to the best of my abilities." I'm curious how much actual traffic this created and also if Quora is better suited for your business vs. others...

We've had a lot of success hiring interns via InternMatch. Finding good talent is hard. Hiring interns allows you to insure you should be committing scarce resources for the added staff. The interns get a chance to prove themselves as competent, motivated, etc. and we get a low risk chance to evaluate them during a trial period that is packed with learning for the intern. Win - Win.

Hey, I'd say this is a brilliant idea; we are already doing this ~ founders network is 1 year old and our tagline is in fact, "founders helping founders" tm. :) Check us out: www.foundersnetwork.com Cheers, Kevin

Great job Abel and Evan! Great to see Founders Network members doing well. Pogoseat is a simple idea, easy for consumers to get, easy to use and a strong business case for venues ~ additional revenue per attendee.
