entrepreneurs> as a few friends mentioned here, there is a lot of good developers here in Brazil and from the buying power (USD > BRL) it's way cheaper to hire and contract the same level of professionals here. The same point of view goes to investing, buying power with the current conversion rate it's very welcoming to invest in Brazil, from real state, to tech. FYI :P

From my point of view as a 33 yo Brazilian, we have a lot of natural resources, huge domestic market, a lot of talents.

We're talking about ~210 million people. We're just below USA in population in the American continent.

It's good for countries like USA to look after us, i believe we will eventually grow, we're still a babe democracy, the military dictatorship ended on the 80's.

So we still have a long way to go but we will get there. Brazil is one of the main SOY and Meat exporter. We're evolving greatly on the tech business preparing the man labor and launching startups on the market.

So yeah, keep a look out for us and let's grow together as entrepeneurs.

Manaus is an eletronics manufacturer for brands such as Samsung, LG, Panasonic and other big corporates, that is why Brazil taxes imports. To protect the local market otherwise people will buy ar conditioning and tx on amazon and aliexpress for example.

The roads are the tip of iceberg, as a Amazon Rainforest Native the forest claims the road back to itself after only a few months. The majority of illegal logging is transported by ferries.

The issue is not the roads is the deflorastation and illegal mining. They rip the forest apart leaving trail of trash, machinary and devastation.

Yes i get your point and i also see this as a cascade effect, there are things been swiped under the carpet for a long time and the results it's this mess we're seeing.

What should we do a community? Sometimes i think of preparing for a apocalipse and sometimes i think about doing something to change that from a entrepreneur point of view. LOL

Very well put, there is no other way to get to some places in the rainforest if not by the river. The river are our ROADS, to get food, supplies, and other issues to the people in the amazon.

With this drought people are lacking of supplies and even dying by not being able to get to the doctor or nearby hospital.

I've have never seen that level in my hole life.... It brings me a lot of uncertainty about the future of our world climate change

Awesome to hear, inai... from your point of view, how do you think would be a good effort to connect the world on helping the amazon?

From my perspective the main problems are illegal deforestation, mining and last but not least narcotrafficking.

I'm born and raised in Manaus-Amazonas-Brasil, it's the capital of the state of Amazon.

My question to my fellow friends here is, how do you see the amazon from outside? What have you heard and seen on the news about it?

Totally, but the business model is gonna colapse, remember my words. If you notice, instagram has removed the feature that shows when the content was posted. Why? Because the are using legacy content in order to keep the feed alive.

I deleted my instagram account a few years ago, i was so tired of seeing all this influencers posting a perfect life that wasn't even true. At the back end they would have their struggles and challenges as well as everyone else.

So my vision and passion is on, how can we enable to be our selves? And truly connect with one another. Know those people that we meet and time flies?

That's the kind of connection i'm talking about.

As founders of startups and innovators, our journey is one filled with a series of hurdles. From the conceptualization of an idea to its execution, the path is rarely linear and often fraught with challenges. Just as scaling a mountain requires not just physical strength but also mental stamina, transitioning from a startup's inception (0) to its first significant milestone (1) demands a similar blend of physical and psychological resilience.

In the modern business landscape, where startups are proliferating at an unprecedented rate, it's easy to get caught up in the fervor of innovation and overlook the importance of mental well-being. Just as an athlete needs a disciplined regimen that includes regular gym sessions, a balanced diet, and adequate rest, entrepreneurs too need a holistic approach to maintain their well-being.

Starting a company from scratch is akin to setting out on a voyage into uncharted waters. The uncertainty and unpredictability can be overwhelming. There are days filled with hope and progress, and there are those laden with setbacks and disappointments. Such highs and lows can take a toll on one's mental health. Stress, anxiety, and burnout are all too common in the startup world. Yet, as crucial as it is to focus on product development, market research, and customer acquisition, it's equally vital to prioritize mental wellness.

Why is this so essential? Because the mind, much like any tool or machinery, needs regular maintenance to function optimally. A well-tuned mind enhances creativity, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities — all critical skills for an entrepreneur. Furthermore, mental well-being promotes positive interpersonal relationships, crucial for team building, networking, and negotiations.

As innovators, we should see mental health not as an ancillary concern but as a core component of our entrepreneurial toolkit. Just as we invest time and resources into market analysis, product refinement, and business growth strategies, we must also invest in mindfulness practices, regular mental check-ins, and, when necessary, seek professional counseling or therapy.

Incorporating mental wellness routines can be as simple as setting aside time for meditation, maintaining a work-life balance, taking regular breaks, or engaging in hobbies and activities outside the business realm. The key is consistency and recognizing that mental health is not a luxury but a necessity.

In conclusion, as we strive to take our startups from 0 to 1, let's not forget the mental fortitude required in this journey. For, in the end, a company's success is not just about profits and market shares; it's also about the well-being and growth of its founder and team. As innovators, let's champion the cause of mental health, not just in our personal lives but also in our startup culture. By doing so, we not only build successful companies but also foster communities that thrive on empathy, understanding, and resilience.
