Very interested to see how well the agentic features work compared to ChatGPT’s cloud version. At the very least, I imagine bot detection/prevention (I.e., CAPTCHA) will be less of issue with Google’s strategy since the browser’s fingerprint will differ Chrome user to Chrome user.

I made a feature request for this very thing within the latest version cycle. I imagine others have as well. Maybe they listened, maybe they didn’t, but here’s hoping!

Edit: I fell for the headline. This is only to export in markdown, not directly write in markdown. So close, yet so far.

My strategy been to put my money where my mouth is and start paying for services that provide value to me (Kagi is one example - I’m a paying customer, and actually found this article using their small web site)

I tested it out and it works well for things like building heights, actors in movies, common facts, etc.

In my experience, the only area Brave Search lacks in is local results (a common issue with all non-Google search engines), but outside of that, I prefer it to Google, Bing, and DDG (still trying out Kagi)

Same here. I spread my web browsing between a handful of browsers, but when I want things to “just work”, Brave is my go-to.
