Exactly what I wonder, the pollution problem should not be turned into an electric car sales booster, it is a wider problem that needs to be tackled from different directions and I don't hear anybody making a wider analysis or plan.

Having electric cars is just moving the pollution to another place, were the power is generated. Forests and trees are the filter of the planet, if you don't have enough the pollution stays no matter what.

How do we know that a feasible solution is replacing the cars instead of keeping the forests and plants alive and growing?

A phone app could replace this right? Using the front facing camera you could run some image recognition to count the flow of people and show the statistics on screen. Put the phone on a stand and leave it running. Much cheaper.

Even with Apple earbuds battery could be easily replaceable if the cylindrical part of the piece was screw-able to the top. Just like a flashlight.

One case where I would use pfsense. Let's say you are a system admin of an small private school, you get an alert email from Comcast saying that copyrighted content was downloaded using torrents. You deploy pfsense and with 30 clicks you have snort configured and set to block torrent connections.

Yeah, that's what I would imagine, it is a chain of events so you could disrupt the process breaking one step, which one? I can't tell. But I know for sure that we are smarter than those micro organisms trying to do their thing :)

Here in south florida I'm having connectivity issues to some websites like, facebook, twitter, hackernews, etc.

Wow this is awesome, It bothers me that one computer on a LAN making a big download, takes over the other devices, causing high latency and connections disruption. I mean we are talking about connectivity, it should not happen.
