I have a site (https://familytreechart.com) with a similar integration with Shopify but one thing I've never figured out is how to send someone to Shopify's checkout page with a preconfigured cart. It looks like you are managing the cart on the nextjs side. How are you generating the checkout page with the right items? I've resorted to creating a DraftOrder, but those don't allow for discount codes so I also had to handle that on my end when creating the draft order. Email in profile if easier.

The article is a beast but there is a lot of good information in there. I find that I try to do as much as possible from the keys when I'm doing programming related tasks. An IDE like vscode is a good mix of UI and CLI for me.

That being said, I've been excited in the past seeing a new take on IDE's with things like LightTable (I'm not positive that's the name...) which have pushed the needle even further on the UI/CLI balance.

I've been using it for ~2 years now and it works really well off and on. I've discovered that it's really helpful for getting me back on track when I fall off the horse. Because the calendar maintains what a "successful" week looks like for me, it eliminates some of the mental energy required to regroup.

I developed a chrome extension, Hey Habit (bit.ly/heyHabit), to help me with this. I add my long term goals as projects and then set up reoccurring tasks to make them happen.

I have to be honest in saying I don't know the science here. I just personally know that I feel a difference in my mental capacity when I switch from programming to writing. That's all that point is about it.

I agree with you, but I also realize that if the service is to be valuable, it can't grow too large. I've intentionally set a cap on the number of developers that can be part of the community so it can remain valuable.

Each member also gets to specify what leads they are interested in, so that spreads leads around as well.

The goal is to create a system whereby those developers who are willing to pay and become quality members of the community are greatly benefited.
