i built maybe don't ai's mcp gateway——but to me the interesting technology isn't about the registry or flattening of downstream MCP servers (honestly that was a reasonably easy problem to solve) it's about the behavior of the AI agents that are connecting to these servers and making very bad decisions.

And yes to teh comments about people making a million of these... so very very many of them.

I feel like it’s a bit like asking what’s next after linux. hard to say because the solution is good enough it’s going to last. There almost has to be a fundamental revolution in computing to overthrow linux at this point.

That will come, but it’s a ways out and difficult to see. Most of what we’ll see are different abstractions that will utilize linux under the hood. Same with kubernetes. It’s not that a new kind of OpenStack is going to usurp it, it’s that what comes next will be built on top of it as it becomes mroe and more the norm… until the next major computing revolution. (completely decentralized storage on phones a la pied piper? quantum computing?)

the open source tool Polaris (what's quoted this article) is completely free to use. There is a commercial product (Fairwinds Insights) that includes Polaris among many other tools that costs 79$/node...

I'm not sure it was this particular buyer I bought from, but they are approximately this. Beware, it's pretty difficult (read near-impossible) to buy off taobao without chinese because the seller will expect that you chat with them about the purchase before they ship.

I'm from Colorado but I have spent the last ten years working in ministry in China. While there I was offering leadership and strategy consultation for ministries and business leaders. I have a tech background, but it's way back.
