44...have had some health challenges in past 4 years including a heart attack. Weight loss flat lined and other things not responding properly to meds so I started searching for answers as to why, found some correlation data with T values and asked for a test.

None for me at this point, but pretty early in the process

I have felt a a sort of fog/rut for years now. Figured it was just age. Doc checked my testosterone level and it was super low. About 10% of what you would want.

Started taking T via a gel/lotion and after about two weeks I noticed a significant change in my productivity. The rut/fog was gone, I was working like I did 15 years ago.

Prescription ran out, was out of town, basically missed 10 days. Fog was back, a week on it again and it is gone.

Moral of the story, don't try to "will" your way out - see a doc, make sure everything is working right.

20+ years since I started my firm, we are very successful and I love our team and our work.

Few points…

Word of mouth is best advertising.

Prove yourself trustworthy and honorable, there are still assholes who will try to take advantage of you but on balance, this will pay off over time.

Don’t work for free. If companies want you to work because it will look good for referrals or something- run.

Don’t work for equity or revenue shares without some cash as part of the deal. Cash is skin in the game, it makes everyone act differently.

Treat your team better than you wish you were treated - they are your most important relationships.

Be willing to fire clients.

Fancy contracts are a waste of time, if you ever get to the point after work has begun that you are talking about wording in a contract - you already lost.

Lastly…learn to delegate, I spent way too much time doing too much of the work myself- sharing the load is a superpower.

The engineering and technical prowess of a NASCAR team would absolutely astonish you, it is hardly as you describe. I work closely with people in racing and am constantly amazed at what they are doing.

Asserting that Tesla is behind because they are fab at 14 instead of something smaller is so laughable you cannot be serious.

Thermal profile and power, instruction set and a dozen other things are more important.
