OP here - this was a personal collection I had been keeping up to date and decided to make it public given the number of people that have asked me how to get started with VR.

There's a lot going on in the space so if I missed an important resource, would be happy to know.

But people like to pay for convenience, and this is convenient. You pay a monthly fee to receive a predetermined project, all the parts necessary to build it, an entire walk through equipped with videos/photo, and customer support.

Sure the price is inflated (for someone with the know-how) but for people interested in learning electronics, the all-in-one-delivered-monthly is a great sell until you grow out of it.

Began a startup senior year of college (Thryv). Managed to build a team, get sales, generate revenue and score a large partnership. Long story short, I was a customer of my own product and assumed I knew what other customers wanted. I spent the next 6 months having a product built without validating my initial assumptions before launching. The product was too niche only fitting customers who had my specific workflow and I ultimately found this out too late when we ran out of steam/resources. Total timeline (including fuckups) was 3 years.

I was non-technical at my first startup (domain expert & business/marketing/sales) and after I shut it down, I spent the next 8 months teaching myself how to build software programs, becoming a now tech co-founder.

I then started my second startup (http://notiontheory.com/) by getting $20k pre-sales in 2 weeks to validate my idea before committing to it.

Attempt 2 has been far more successful and we're already beginning hiring in month 5 bootstrapped.

The process is the same for converting doge to USD (which I should make clear in the guide, thanks).

There are a few exchanges with plans to offer direct exchange from Doge to USD in the coming weeks, which I will also be making a guide for when it's released.

You could alternatively sell your Doge for USD through a service like eBay and add a nice markup for convenience (doge is selling for 2x the value in some bids), although you chance dealing with scammers.

When you're using an offline wallet like bitcoin-qt or dogecoin-qt, you have to download the entire blockchain for the cryptocurrency. This is what's 'syncing' and can take a while to finish.

You can bypass having to download the blockchain by using an online wallet instead, which solves that specific pain point but they're less secure than your local storage offline wallet.

Not necessary when you're going to the moon. We're talking spaceships and mars with the dogecoin billions.

Just thinking out loud but if I went on a hiking trip with a couple of friends and we all wanted to show off an album of pictures to other, it makes sense I would give a view-only link to people who wanted to view the album and an edit link to those who came on the trip to contribute photos.

It could be something as simple as selecting "Yes" generates an edit var with the associated link. If someone pastes the edit URL into their browser and the edit var = the album id, allow edit. Else force view only.

I expected them to make this move once I found out they were beginning to dabble into same day shipping. No need for commodity stores like costco and sam's when I can get the same through amazon (potentially even cheaper) with same day shipping to my door.

American, yes. Do I compromise quality at the cost of passion? Most certainty not. But there is something to be said for the value of hiring with a criteria of passion for the idea and space.

I made no implication it was either or. You can certainly have a passionate, cool headed and calculated player on your team.

He's a startup founder, im posting in this context. Even that aside, I'm aware (most) founders look to hire individuals that are passionate about the space and idea, not someone to simply serve a purpose. That's what outsourcing is for.

At my current age (25), I don't necessarily agree with this. I do understand the philosophy behind "work smart, not hard", but when I come across these posts where someone is claiming "work less, do more", i question whether they're truly passionate about what they're doing.

My personal opinion as a startup founder, is that there is no such thing as work/life balance. Your startup is your life and your work should contribute to it.

That aside, the post is rather misleading. You're giving advice to others on working less hours and smarter but had you worked smarter previously, you may have a different opinion.

I prioritize my health, take a 5 minute break every 25 minutes (pomodoro technique), and get at lest 7 hours of sleep each night, all things which you seemingly didn't do.

For now, all I can say is that I hope my competitors are reading this and nodding their heads.

Same, i'm rather new to using zsh but it would help greatly if there was a comparative list between bash and zsh defining the differences. It was suggested to me by a couple of friends but at this stage, i'm not clear on why I would benefit from using zsh over bash.

We're in the process of redesigning the exercise search experience. We'll be adding in more granular analytics over time (i.e, measuring your performance over time tied to a specific exercise). Selecting a day in the calendar and viewing the exercises completed for the day is also planned. We understand this is incredibly helpful when viewing your exercise history too.

To your last point, this issue is solved by making a round of the exercise and treating each round as a set. When you get to round 3 (aka set 3) of your exercise, you can change the # of reps from 5 to 4, specific to set 3.

We don't have a public database of plans yet, but we do allow plans to be shared publicly. I'd be more than happy to create a wendler 5/3/1, SS/SL and send you the workout URL if you'd like.

Sharing workout results and sharing workouts with groups are in the pipeline.

You can share a workout to a group currently but you have to add each individual person to the workout.

We found this workflow fits really well with personal trainers, so they'll receive the same tools with some added PT powers for a fee (SaaS).

Ads aren't our focus for making money and we feel it ruins the experience.
