I'm sure Russians had something to do with it too. Makes sure Germany will not develop nukes and they'll keep buying oil and gas.

I had one encounter with an obviously vibe coded website last year. Everything looked great, but nothing worked. Had to deal with the company over email.
Things might be better now, but that was a clear warning of what future may hold.
Do whatever you want. Just don't be a hypocrite about it.
I didn't say it would need to be restricted to individual choice. It could also be a political action from top down.
"A [recruiter you connected with 3 years ago in hopes of getting job opportunities, but never heard from ever again] reacted to a post by [a person you've never heard of before]: What taking a long shit while my wife was screaming at my kids taught me about b2b sales.

One of the most important solutions is never taken seriously enough, because most people are just big children: eat less meat.
What a terrible answer.
It's appropriate to point out here once again that Israel supported Hamas in hopes of dividing Palestine, so, you know.
I don't know if there's a word for it, but the mentality or personality trait or whatever that makes people hand-wave away completely predictable outcomes until they actually happen
We used to call this stupidity, but nowadays it's said to offend and thus alienate the idiot snowflakes who just want a strong leader with simple answers.
I somehow missed the sarcasm and went to read the article. Was a bit confused for a minute there..
Interesting, did not know that. Thanks!
Ok, humor me. Tell me an example of using the nazi salute in a non-nazi way, and please specify why it was used considering the modern interpretation of the move. Only modern use, not going back to Romans.
A couple of fresh accounts spouting nonsense in this thread. Could be just Elon's AI force in action.
The guy used Fox News arguments and dared to blame others for being brainwashed. Pointing and laughing seems to be the only option left here, indeed.
Ah, so Hitler did nothing wrong. Peak HN here, ladies and gentlemen.
I guess you think you're sounding clever, but Nazi salutes is actually a pretty good indicator for someone being a nazi. Believe it or not.
At least there is Fox News to spoon feed the truth to people like these.
Yeah, since when did he get to decide things associated with the Nazi saluting tech trillionaire is low morality? The guy who is openly manipulating markets for his advantage should get the same respect and dignity everyone else does!
I think it should be shown that intelligence is linear algebra. Not that it's not linear algebra. Russell's teapot etc.
Anti-science crowd found their way here as well.
Who?
Someone did not follow the news last year.
I guess killing school girls is somehow better then?
I think one reason Google has been so successful is that the original founders did what they knew best and built a great startup, then stepped down and left the company for people who know how to run a corporation. I imagine these are very different skill sets.
I mainly visit my country's community, news and browse comics/memes. More niche topics could be more active, I admit.
I got banned from some community for pointing out how shitty Soviet Union was in WW2, but learned to avoid that instance from that. It's a "federation", so you get all kinds.
There's discussion on all topics these days.
Lemmy is pretty ok actually. The lack of big user base is more of a feature than a bug.
I don't work for big tech, but you have at least one more thing to show for than I do!
I have an anecdote I'm dying to share and will be happy to have it buried here!
I was talking to an academic friend of mine who works in a CS theory group in a top university. He told me now only 2 out of 10 members of the group work on theory anymore, the rest are doing applied/industry projects. The ratio used to inverted, but now the theory people are worried AI will replace them, so they look for ways out.
They also had the right audience to build the early adopters: top university students.
