all things aside, the location at which you discovered the vulnerability is so interesting..i mean imagine being on a 2 week vacation and then amidst this happens..on a beautiful day.
each time someone sends me an xls or xlsx file, i am scared to open it in libresoft to mess up its formatting or miss something important. I always then rever to gsheet.
i have slighlty old iphone and boy the notion app is crazy laggy. You are right, i saw a video where the guys spent everything literally on UI design, even that video had comments saying, should have invested in an efficient backend.
i wanted something similar, especially as im a big advocate of using time blocking method and i use gcal all the time. on top of notion and onenote.
I planned to make something small around this, but currently due to limited time, i am not able to put my hands in it. If you do find a solution please do let me know as well.

To answer few of your points:
1. If I understand rightly, If you finish the typing, there is an option to share that pops up, then in that it takes your wpm and accuracy and sets a pre written little paragraph. You can share on X or Threads, or directly Copy the text and then paste it [I've provided the copy button].
2. I could, I don't know if it would fit in to its simplicity, I'm trying to set this apart for beginners especially because some other tools are too intimidating to start with.. you could help me understand this feature more. Maybe I can work around this.. This is a good one though, I will have a look into this.
3. Initially it was 0%, but I thought I'd do it 100% and as the user types it remains 100%, until he makes a typo and it drops. Like a minus minus effect from 100, so the type will try to keep it at 100.

i dont think its that easy as others pointed out but yes I think it would help to have some strict startups around EU maybe that force companies to comply...but then again, from indie hackers/indei makers sides, europe hasnt been too incentivized/friendly for/to start ups either compared to other parts of the world...I think this is one of the major reasons.
I created this initially for myself and seeing the doubts I used to check my internet speed at least once a day just because I sometimes found my ISP non reliable.
I see there are amazing services that are used like speedtest.net by ookla or fast.com by netflix but those are commercial speed with optimized servers and this led me to think what if I could just try a different algo to get a more real speed to what I get..hence I introduce 2 modes in this tool, one is standard which is real life speeds and other is commercial which is what we get closer to ookla style speed test results.
I will be also doing a technical article on this and how the tool works within a week or 2, until then this is the short story.
I would love for you to try it or you can completely discard it if its not up to your style of work or doesn't fit in your workflow.
