Can someone explain how KYC in crypto is not racist, but KYC in voting is? How can we require a drivers license to drive or own a firearm, but not vote? How can we rely on tech to secure banking and stock markets, but not voting?
Smushing is actually a pretty good name for this.
This suggests a strong need for AI powered code security review and patching as a compliment to Agentic coding platforms. Ideally, in parallel to your coding, it could scan your GitHub and output specific tasks for the Agentic AI to perform for you.
Let’s hope that a tiny portion of the $200M goes towards documentation. If they spent $5k on professional writers they could get something useful. For $50k something great. And for $500k they could have an entire suite of highly produced explainer videos with great post production.
If you are protected from facing competition, then you don’t need to actually compete. Therefore, you don’t develop the competitive advantages. You remain at a competitive disadvantage, but it doesn’t matter since you don’t actually have to face the competition… until someday when the protection is removed and you are left to face the more advantaged competition.
Well said.
Nice work. Reminds me a little of Bardeen.
This was inevitability was obivous to me when I realized that
A) It cost like $5-$10 to go just a short distance.
B) Any regular commuter could just buy their own scooter for basically the cost of a bicycle.
The economics just didn’t make sense.
Any word on this? How much did they cash out before it hit the pavement?
Need Apple Watch app
Client dictates what ads are shown. Fb knows what ads are shown to who. Fb now can deduce what topics people are talking about. Technically convo info has leaked. If someone is getting served ads for Trump, they probably like Trump. If they are getting ads for Biden they probably like Biden. Etc…..
But the Meta data still shows who is communicating with each other right?
Highly effective at conditioning a generation of submissives who will blindly do what they are told by authority. This is and was the only objective given that we know kids do totally fine with Covid.
The agents should be put against each other such that one will get a greater share of the overall pot based on how good they are at creating a bidding war. More bids, more commission share to the seller agent. Less bids, more commission to the buyer agent.
Align the incentives beyond just getting a deal.
Money should fought for at the margin.
There is no incentive at the margin. And only the margin matters in real estate transactions. The first 80% is usually a given based on location. Total racket.
There should be waterfall hurdles like in Real Estate investing. Or variable commissions above certain thresholds or rolling sqft averages in that location.
If they can get that last $50k then split it 50/50 with them.
All of their money should be made at the margin.
Also there should be full transparency such that the buyer agent loses money when this happens. So there is an overt battle for the pot between buyer and seller agent incentivizing them to advocate for their client, not just get the deal done.
On point! Been saying this for years. I bought my house and had sellers agent represent me. The seller went with our offer because agent made more commission. We were not the highest offer.
100% this. Leadership gets to decide how insanely hooked up they will be. Same as congress. Remember when they carved themselves out their own Health Insurance requirements? Same thing.
This is the case across most of the US. It’s also why our senators are wealthy people taking “bribes” and kickbacks, friendly business deals or benefiting from insider trading. Feinstein, Pelosi are good local examples.
So what are the current languages and frameworks that are least likely to soon become “technical debt”? We use Python, Django, Node JS, Next JS, React JS. How do those fare?
Tucker needs advertisers like Blac Chyna needed them on OnlyFans. Millions of people pay for cable news largely to watch Tucker. If he gets 2M people to pay him $1 a month, he can make his $20M salary plus $4M for production team to run his operation. All without ads. I bet he can do much much better than this. I would think he could get 5M paying $5 in first 6 months with election approaching. That would be $300M a year in subscription revenue and no ads.
If your city can’t keep Walmart, Whole Foods, and Nordstrom due to rampant and unchecked crime, homelessness, etc, then how would you compel normal citizens and employers to remain. If you forfeit your security, protection of private property and clean streets, then society will rapidly devolve and you will end up with such vacancies. And it doesn’t matter if this is deliberate and ideological or if it’s just incompetence or ignorance, the same outcome will arrive. SF is in decline and total denial about it. California is too. Anyone who doesn’t see this is in total denial.
Still different because it wouldn’t be fiat. There is no ability to print more gold.
Ultimate showdown: Bowser v Bowser.
Project Solar just raised Series A to effectively cut out the sales rep. I put one in my roof at 1/3 the cost of other companies… even less the cost of Tesla which is priced pretty well.
But Urban Compass initially tried to cut out the overpaid realtor before eventually raising VC to be the largest realtor themselves. Let’s see if Project Solar pivots to become what they have initially set out to replace.
There does not exist the ideal messenger for financial communication. Not between bankers and not between asset manager to client.
The way you can tell it IS inflation is to chart the M1 money supply.
Buying the dip would be a cost effective way of maintaining our insurance policy. Buy low, sell high. We had saved cheap oil for a hurricane and released them for a light drizzle in order to try to cap gas price increases, which have more than doubled from one president to the next.
Then why don’t they articulate this to us? Seems more like they are finding any way possible to mask the economic pain we are facing. Print money, fire-sale our assets, borrow more. Anything to push out the day of reckoning and ensure that the music stops under someone else’s watch.
