Agentic AI is starting to create original content, developing on existing one (from humanity) and on its own senses (it now has hearing and sight). This content is flooding the internet, so any new knowledge being acquired now comes from humanity+AI, if not purely from AI (the likes of AlphaZero learn on their own, without human input). Maybe AI is a mirror, but it looks into it and sees itself.

Symphony | REMOTE | Full-time | backend / frontend / lead full-stack / data-scientist | Mongo-Node-React | $35k-90k
We're a food-tech startup allowing the collective exploration of the mathematical space of all possible recipes. We like to think of it as the primordial soup for the universe of cuisine.
- Hardware side: We produce and ship any recipe for 7€ a piece, ready-to-eat (e.g. pesto pasta, chili con carne, veggie bowl). Think of Symphony as a black box: recipe in, meal out (and brought to your doorstep).
- Software side: Members can create recipes out of a catalog of 500 ingredients (e.g. 85% pasta, 7% basil paste, 7% olive oil, 1% salt). They can then order, taste, adjust and repeat. But the real value comes from the community sharing their best findings: from the most popular to the trending, the very niche and the just absurd — any combination is allowed, !500. Recipes are constantly evolving towards diverse variants. Finally, machine-learning is used to model users' preferences and make recommendations; model the essence of popular recipes and generate new variants (from small adjustments to merging several recipes together).
More on the space of all recipes here: https://symphony.fr/p/the-space
We're hiring diverse positions. Send your CV at job@symphony.fr, and we'll arrange a 30 min video call.
Symphony | REMOTE | Full-time | Lead full-stack MongoDB/Node.js/React
Be the lead web developer for an innovative foodtech startup that applies machine-learning and automation to a community-driven effort to find the most attention-worthy recipes existing out there, in the universe of all possible recipes.
# The company
Users subscribe to Symphony and receive every week 5 to 14 ready-to-eat meals (think pesto pasta, chili con carne, veggie bowl). Every single meal is unique and has been tailor-made to the user's preferences. The application collects feedback on how the user found each meal to improve the recipes it suggests for the next delivery. Users can also manually modify recipes or create new ones from scratch, out of a catalog of 500 ingredients. They can also browse all the recipes created by the community: the most popular, the trending ones, the niche ones, and those ordered by friends. Order, taste, adjust, repeat.
We finished a beta-testing phase in Paris, and are looking to open to the whole of France within 2 months. We have for ambition to quickly expand to Europe and beyond, starting with Spain and Belgium.

Symphony | REMOTE | Full-time | Full-stack Mongo/Node/React (Next)
Symphony delivers ready-to-eat meals throughout Europe (think pesto pasta, chili con carne, veggie bowl) 100% custom-made to the user's taste and preferences.
Hardware side, we receive a recipe from the user, prepare and ship it (average price is 7€). Recipes are made out of a catalog of 500 ingredients (that will keep on growing over time). Software side, we provide a sort of Google Maps of the space of all possible recipes (one recipe = one location). Users browse the space by modifying recipes (adding/removing/resizing ingredients) and can plant flags by leaving a comment, suggesting a title, adding the recipe to a playlist, or simply ordering it and sharing their experience. Think of Symphony as a collaborative effort to explore all the most attention-worthy recipes (from mainstream to super niche). We also apply machine learning from [area on the map] to [property of interest] to model users' preferences and recipe properties (e.g. naming, style, geo and culturo influence, diet, …), which is then used to make recommendations, create enhancement tools (e.g. decrease carbs, apply a taste profile, substitute a given ingredient), cluster recipes, and broadly speaking, automate the process of discovery and annotation of the space.
We finished a beta-testing phase in Paris, and are looking to open to the whole of France, Belgium and Spain within 2 months. The bulk of the website is functional, but a lot remains. You will be its primary and lead maintainer. The work is 70% ReactJS, 30% API/NextJS/MongoDB/AWS-deployment. We exchange daily on what needs to be done with a combination of voice, instant messaging and issue tracking. Timezone difference should not be a problem as long as we manage to intersect a few hours a day. We will decide together what positions to hire next to complement the team. Starting salary ranges anywhere from $25k to $65k a year depending on relevant experience and cost of living. It is bound to increase significantly as the company grows, along with your position in it.
If interested, send an email at kai@symphonyfood.com with any relevant information, and we'll arrange a call.
I guess they seem to solve a common difficulty (cross-device file sharing), but in the end they are not good enough to be widely adopted, and they get forgotten.
There a significant added lag though, with audio and lips out of sync.
They are preserved in liquid nitrogen. There is no need for electricity, although the liquid nitrogen must be refilled once in a while (something like once a month I think). Liquid nitrogen is pretty simple and cheap to produce. Now of course if society collapses before we are able to bring those people back to life, then they will indeed rot.
Indeed, after some testing, the filtering is much better.
I believe Discords does a lot of noise filtering and cutting-off. I suspect it is server-side (given that they have a web app), but I am not certain.
Thanks for the work.
Is incorporating NoiseTorch into pulseEffects something that could be considered? The interest being to have all filters managed under one app.
Alternatively there is the pulseaudio module: module-echo-cancel (https://askubuntu.com/questions/18958/realtime-noise-removal...), which I have been using so far.
I haven't tried NoiseTorch yet. How do the two compare?
Sorry guys, I dropped that link and then got fairly busy (while keeping an eye on the traffic). I am writing a bulk answer to your questions, coming within 24 hours.
This is part of a social experiment on radical transparency, of which I am the guinea pig.

Using the exact same setting. Very happy with it.
Only difficulty you might run into is adapting applications to scale text and graphics up, as the screen's DPI is very high. For example, Chrome's bars (navigation, tabs and bookmarks) are still sized in fixed number of pixels and look painfully small.
Pirate3D (Singapore) − Full time, REMOTE.
Our main product is the Buccaneer, a 3D printer designed to be affordable, sleek and user-friendly.
You will join the software team and contribute in developping the software ecosystem surounding the printer. You will be working on many different stacks, from firmware to web, servers, native cross-platform apps, generative 3D and GPU computing. The more of those technologies you have worked in the past with, the better, and the more into mastering them you are, the better. Expect to be given a lot of freedom, and stock bonuses proportional to your commitment and contribution to the project.
We can also sponsor your work visa, if you fancy moving to Singapore.
If interrested, send an email with your achievements, aspirations, and Skype ID to Kai at contact@kaielvin.org

* 3D processing − write a GLSL fragment shader that renders a sphere, cylinder and cube next to each other with lighting. The vertex shader should not be used and kept minimalistic. Include in the email a discussion about your approach and how it could be extended into an actual application.
* iOS/Android − write a small application allowing to scroll through hundreds of images in the style of Windows Metro UI, but vertically and with circular loading (meaning the last items are followed by the first items, the first items are preceded by the last items, and so on).
* 3D processing − write in your favorite language a program that scales uniformly the object of an STL file to the smallest size so that at least 99% of the points within the object can be contained inside a sphere of radius 1.0 that is entirely within the object itself. Include in the email some explanation of your approach and alternative approaches you could have taken.
* Security − write in your favorite language or pseudo-language a program that encrypts a short message within a single UDP datagram for a destination with known IP, port, and public key. You don't need to write the code of the destination. Include in the email a discussion about the trade-offs between data overhead, processing time and security of your approach.
