Everything they say is advertisement. But they show a minutes long video of a conversation with gemini that isn't near possible. That is almost like claiming you can fly warp speed and then it's just a visual effect.

1. Hunans may also never be 100% - but it seems they are more often correct. 2. When AI is wrong it's often not only slighty off, but completely off the rails. 3. Humans often tell you when they are not sure. Even if it's only their tone. AI is always 100% convinced it's correct.

Mastodon isn't for everybody just like Twitter never was for everybody. Millions of users joined Twitter and silently left, because they didn't know what to make of it.

But the Fediverse could certainly offer services that fit the needs of the sciences. Wordpress can be connected to the Fediverse. There are other, more long form services.

I was early with Twitter and Facebook and became social media manager. I organized webmondays and barcamps and became a event manager. I blogged about the digital transformation and became a consultant for that.

Sometimes a friend or my in-laws live in our appartment to watch our cat. I drew some how-tos. For feeding our cat, cleaning the litterbox. But also how to use the remotes to turn lights on and off.

That is also because they pretend like their text generators are anything more than autocomplete 2 0.

They say that it is "artificial intelligence" - it is their company brain that intelligently answers questions.

If they just called it text generator, it would be up to the user to male things off the generated texts.

But a Mexican could be a man in a suit.

That is, what they say. If you ask midjourney for the image of a Mexican man it produces this cliche. Most Mexicans don't look like that. Most will be closed to the Mexican in a suit.

I think, the result would be more diverse if you look for stick photos of Mexicab men.

This example only shows, what you can expect from every other prompt: a bias for cliches.

And yes, you are right: that is, what you ask for in Midjourney.

But you should know, that it's always a cliche.

Today I tried to travel 80km. By car it's about 1 hour. By train it's almost 2 hours. 10 minutes in the ride, the train stopped because a tree was about to fall into the rails. 20 minutes later we continued and I missed my connecting train by 10 minutes. Next train in 2 hours. I tried to find another route but the trains were cancelled. So I abandoned my plan an decided to go back home. That train was delayed 5, then 10, then 15 minutes. It stopped right outside my home station and waited 5 minutes. Almost 2 hours on the Deutsche Bahn and I was back again, where I started.
