Hmmmm. On one hand "closing.wtf" definitely stands out... So many startups have boring branding. But on the other hand, you are building in a legacy space. It's important to build trust & pay attention to the feedback here.
Does your target demographic understand "startups" or do they just want to solve the problem?
That's not a bad description. I don't have a good comparison— we mostly just built this as a tool that we personally needed. I like to think of it like W&B but also in the world of logging tools like Prometheus.
LLMs are a funky thing to work with, and we need a whole suite of new tools to make them prod-ready.

Loved this story. I can completely sympathize. I had been programming in school and for fun a little before my first hackathon, however I had not yet made any "real" apps. I attended my first hackathon a few years ago (pretty sure Jon was there). Like Jon, I joined a team of people with much more experienced than myself. They taught me a lot, helped me get started, and got me hooked on hackathons. After this hackathon, I started learning about web development, meeting others in the community, and of course attending more hackathons.

I think our main focus here is to promote CS high school education. There are definitely hackathons for people interested in design and business, but ours is mostly for people interested in programming.
Throughout the various collegiate hackathons that I have been to, there have not only been a few high schoolers in attendance, but many of the winners were actually high schoolers! Our goal here is to make hackathons less intimidating to high schoolers who can't code or who are beginners.
Personally, I think the "Download Bootstrap" button is too ambiguous. Why is the default color the same as the background color, it is just confusing and ugly

Hi Brandon! I am also in high school (currently a sophomore). Personally, I would suggest two main things.
1. Just build something. You said you were using Django. Find an idea, and build it! You will learn a lot as you build it.
2. Udacity. I found the Udacity online courses to be amazing! They are very helpful (I took Web Development (CS253) taught by Steve Huffman)!
