If you want to write javascript, use javascript. There are ways to get what you're asking for depending on your use case. types.SimpleNamespace in the standard library provides one approach.

I do agree that python logging is a weak point. It is too easy to do it wrong -- particularly when you are a few modules deep.

Two reasons seem obvious. F-strings are relatively new -- the code is maturing and the edge cases are being filled in. Second, everyone can't be working on the GIL and start-up times. There is a tipping point at a relatively low head count where adding developers decreases productivity.

Is it reasonable to assume that the wealthiest people are more interested in optimizing society for what is best for the country as a whole or optimizing it so they can acquire more wealth/power? How often are those two possible optimizations in conflict?

I think it is an unpopular opinion for two primary reasons. There are inherent conflicts of interest. Being good at one thing (often being really good at being born with the right parents) does not necessarily correlate with decision making on behalf of society at large.

Add a category for what they are famous for? willsmith with a blue checkmark and "Podcaster" compared to will_smith with a blue checkmark and "Assaulted Chris Rock"?

Perhaps not a popular opinion, but the overwhelming majority of "gifted" kids seem to be near the middle of the bell curve with parents that are convinced little George is the next Einstein.

It is kind of fascinating since it does seem plausible that treating a child as gifted with high expectations and then providing focused, advanced instruction may be a self-fulfilling sort of situation.

I liked the first trilogy of mistborn but lost interest in the sequels. There were parts of the first trilogy that .. well, were better than others.

I think the Stormlight archive is Sanderson at his fantasy best. Characters driving plot in a cohesive, complex world. Stormlight has huge tombs of books covering a story that feels like it is really moving and subplots that tie back and resolve.

It's significant to a human that wants to know what has changed.

Its a little hazier than that. Someone using stack overflow might not know the exact answer (else why look) but may know enough to choose between answers and recognize the one most likely to solve their problem.

^^ this is exactly the right way to approach this. The answer is not obvious, not to me anyway. The $10 million marketing company will crush the original company, the product will wither without technical backing and fade into obsolescence. Long term everyone loses. How can we change the rules of the game (license?) so the end users win.

It would please my personal sense of justice if the big R&D company also won, but I am satisfied with the simpler requirement of end users not getting shafted and the product thriving.

Nginx-ingress (the free version) does a reload when pods are added/removed. I would expect to see latency spikes. As I understand it the paid nginx-ingress can do these reconfigs on-the-fly. If you have pods adding/removing frequently, like maybe from "We then scale up the backend service to four pods and then scale it back down to three pods every thirty seconds", this is what you see. The more interesting question is if that is a realistic expectation for your workload. Unless you are doing aggressive auto-scaling pods can be very stable, only add/removing during upgrades.
