I would really like to see a system where people pay on their ultimate currency of time - it’s something I have occasionally pondered where young fit and healthy people donate their time to help the elderly in order to gain ‘credits’ for when they are older to receive benefits or benefit in some way for when they are sick or require elderly assistance.

I think the whole voice activation hype inflated itself where people are naturally wanting to see the next big thing and of course people used this as an example - the title says it all.

I must say it's light & easy to use. Most importantly really fast and minimal taps. This is very important for any new app.

As for the mobile only situation I would say this is a good business decision to minimise (not eliminate) spam accounts and possibly would be a good idea if people get indexed into search or people share this will promote installations. It worked well with IG this concept so I'd say in its early conception it was a wise move.

It's also very obvious that this team has experience with social networking.

Now for my negative comment, I'd say gaining traction in the app era of today is hard when it comes to social networking due to the reason is that everyone is bombarded.

I would recommend focusing on the need or the feeling of why one would want to open the app again which as of now I am finding hard to see personally. This is the most crucial part and All energy needs to put towards exposing the app in an organic way with that need.

I really believe that due to connectivity and the emergence of a connected lifestyle we now can live in smaller more quiet areas and still have our bare essentials. This is a great article and I really hope people embrace the way more than just the buzz of minimalism. It has freed me in a way and I was lucky to stumble along it.

From the start it seems there was a lot of excitement about reddit and what revenue it could achieve. I think people were more caught up in the hype of it being the front page of the Internet when when you break it down it's more of a large forum covering a broad number of topics, which is very convinient and central. Nonetheless it's a great central community however expecting it to grow into A larger revenue stream would simply be unrealistic.

Reddit needs to look at expanding or introducing new products that the community will embrace and help give momentum. Reddit users are very patriotic and can help startup with gaining traction. - they have data on users, topics demographics and opinions. Such data is very powerful for any startup to pivot in the right direction and make the right decisions on new products.

Repair shop owner here as well. Couldn't agree more people are just continuing to use their old phones. We have big companies even asking to continue to repair iPhone 4S phones to date.

It's an unsettling feeling with Microsoft ever since the rise of mobile devices and cloud based systems. Nonetheless the company deserves a lot of respect for setting the foundation of a lot of under the hood tech it has paved the way with.

Microsoft can't monetise in multiple ways from singular products the way other companies can nowdays. I think most general users use mocrosofts core products as a platform to connect with other companies to monetise. The push with win10 to connect with the Microsoft store was a good move IMO.

This is great for the industry. It's great to see people are seeing it less as a 'currency' and a technology with multiple uses. On the proviso it remains secure block chain technology will stay reputable which will give associated industries cred.
