I had similar idea, a tool to model the economy of a country. The idea would be to give to every one a simple tool to groundcheck political programms before voting. The economy is complex, there is no simple solution to a complex problem, only trade offs. But you need to see the effect of these trade offs before making a decision and elect one or another politician.
I like to think of llms as seamless plagiarism machines.
And in the mean time, western europe is having its second heat wave even before summer starts.
Not having to install is huge avantage in corporate environmeent where user can't install nor run binaries that have not been approved by IT dept.

Very neat! I'm hydrodynamics by background and I wondered a long time ago why this kind of approach was not used as I always found ocean waves to look awful in movies. Once you describe ocean sea state in frequency domain, it is quite easy to give to floating objects like ships realistic motions using what we called RAO in this field (linear operator). You can also model sea disturbance (diffracted and radiated waves) caused by an object in a similar fashion.
I visited conservatoire des arts et metiers museum in Paris a couple years ago. It is full of fascinating scientific devices from the past. Among then was the timbre analyser. I was blown away. A purely analogic spectrum analyser.

In France at least, more and more stations require pre-paying at the counter, especially stations in big cities.

Beware that the £70 MWh is as per 2012 price, as were the previous £44 of AR5. So effectively close to £100MWh corrected for inflation.

I m wondering what sort of cycles they are referring to. I would expect one very big full pressure cycle when slowly going down to seabed and returning up to surface. Unless they do hundreds of descent with the same hull...

Now on a positive note, if we find some devices, easy to operate, low cost and that can save few percent of fuel (being fossile or green), then that could still be useful.

I built an interactive viewer/editor for time series. that can load data from text files.
In my previous job, I spent a lot of time dealing with time series collected from various simulations and measurements, so I wrote a desktop app. When I quit I was missing the tool so I partially rebuilt it in the browser!
Jumping from computer to cell phones appears to me order of magnitude easier than jumping from computer to car buisness.
