I completely agree - the new way of looking at issues pushes things to the extreme sometimes, but always makes me reevaluate.

Another benefit of being a woman in tech? People always underestimate me. This, in my opinion, is one of the best things about being a woman in business. Nothing is more fun than watching someone change their opinion about you right in front of your eyes. This happens to me all the time.

I think the "almost" is key here - because there are certainly some functions that shouldn't be outsourced. Some people (not sure if this is me or not) would say that the development of a core application, for example, should absolutely NOT be outsourced no matter the cost.

I think your example of someone who is native English speaking saying "I am not good at English" is the perfect analogy. Members of GenY are likely comparing themself to other members of GenY (guys that built Facebook, for example) and in comparison, find themselves lacking. If they were to compare themselves to Baby Boomers or even GenXer's, however, they might sing a different tune.
