Yeah, and it’s not like the enemy would take the information from here, they already have it and likely even more detailed. It is quite basic stuff to have when preparing to defend (or attack).

Well in Finland there is nothing like this for sure. You cannot do 230V electricity work regardless of what you call the rooms. I would really like to hear more about this in other European countries.

I have half jokingly thought that could there even be some evolutionary dimension of improving the language skills of your kids when doing it!

It uses 12.5 kW per 100km travelled. But should be of course kWh.

Having lived in Norway forsome years, at least to me the locals told me that it is more due to tradition of ”matpakke” and not so much of not being able to do it. Even in the work place it is common to bring your own sandwitches in stead of having ”proper” lunch. And also, it would be a huge undertaking even if people wanted it as no school building is equipped with suitable kitchen.

It definitely would be interesting know details. SOmeone using my account for spam was first thing I suspected as well, but at least the Google login history does not show anything out of ordinary, all my devices from locations I know with timestamps that I can match with something I did. Also the account has strong password with 2FA enabled, which I assume should give some amount of security.

Oh yes, now I remember reading the P1 spec and it does indeed say that it has been in use in the Netherlands for many years already. In Finland we also call it the HAN-port or the H1-port. Also, I must clarify that it uses RJ12, not RJ26 which I don’t even think exists.

In Finland (and I guess at least other Nordics as well) we are starting to get neters with so called P1-port, which is open for the user to get their data. All I needed was a wire with RJ26 and an ESP8622 with some esphome definitions and now I get all kinds of data from the meter every 4 seconds. Total consumption, consumption, amperage and voltages per phase etc.

I have my Home Assistant completely local, if I need to access it from outside, I open Wireguard VPN to my local network and do my business in Hassio locally.

Here in Finland the libraries often have that kind of stuff, in smaller places maybe a little less, but larger cities have nice amount of stuff to use and/or loan.

I have no experience from Hue lights, but at least Ikea bulbs need to go to pairing mode if they were previously paired to something. Without it they cannot pair to new hub. With Ikea lights you get them into pairing mode by flicking the lights on and off 10 times.

Or one is cracked and the others are easy to figure out. Because these types of algorithms tend to feel complicated, but are not as you still have to remember it.

Having lived in Norway and Finland, I’d say it would be very likely that you would get your items back. And if there would be contact details, someone would have most likely tried to call you before the few hours would be up. Would more or less the same in actual public spaces as well.
