I wish I believed giving the homeless jobs would fix the problem but I watched my dad who owns a business try and help several local homeless or down on their luck types and more often than not they just take advantage of people then go right back to drugs or worse they have mental health issues and probably will never be able to function in society.

I'm still waiting on the crisis to materialize. Florida was suppose to be under water 10 years ago and 50 years ago we were suppose to be in a second Ice Age. Oh and the Ozone was suppose to be gone by now.

Give it five years and you can change the title to When Engineers were Nihilists. "The ironic fact here is that humanism, which began with Man’s being central, eventually had no real meaning for people."

Yep and with Kotlin and Swift having 90% of the same paradigms it's easy to switch between the two without having to think in contrasting paradigms.

You are putting the cart before the horse here. People who think outside the box and challenge society and norms are the ones who push the limits of our current knowledge. Conformist and those who seek approval from others will not risk their credibility or reputation on untested ideas.

I've always seen Rust as a transitional language like SmallTalk or ALGOL. It's a glance into the future of programming and the Next era of modern languages but probably not the next 40 year language itself.
